Taco Bell — Restaurant in Lake View Township

So, heres the deal. I love taco bell. Its like crack for me. But this location, has been the most hit and miss taco bell I have ever been to. Sometimes you're in the drive through for 5 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes. Like right now. I'm literally writing this in the drive through. Ive been inside a lot as well and Same story. Sometimes 5 minutes. Other times 15. Actually I take that back! We once waited for 25 minutes. And it wasn't busy!! There were only like 3 employees running the place though. So having over 14 years experience in the service industry (never fast food btw), I can't stress enough the importance of consistency and customer service. I don't think in all my years of eating out have I ever been to a more inconsistant restaurant. Don't get me wrong, I've never had bad food, bad attitudes from employees, and I've never been spoken to in a rude way. Its just that its so inconsistent on how long the food takes. So guys, managers of the taco bell on clybourn ave across from Menards, get it together! I know you don't have poor business, that place is busy most times I drive by. Just post an add on Craigslist that you're hiring, hire a bunch of people, weed out the slow ones, then train your employees to be faster, but more importantly more efficient. And keep hiring friendly people!!! Y'all are the friendliest bunch of taco slingers ive ever seen! For real though. For the record, you haven't lost a customer. After getting out of the club I needed some grub around 2am. I saw taco bell was 24 hours. I headed that way expecting a dorrito crunch but just received nothing. In fact, I went in to order and all of the kiosks and menus were off. 15 minutes trying to figure out what's going on a cashier pops out and I attempt to ask him how to order. He just said drive through only. There were no signs that indicated that it was just a 24 hour drive through and no dining in.

Still having a hint of hope of receiving my crunch I was left in despair and disappointment. I pulled up to the drive through and it was backed up all the way past the parking lot. I gave it a shot. I ended up waiting 30 minutes without even moving. At this point I just reversed and drove out of the disaster zone.

Since this place remodeled, it is nothing but disappointment. They are always out of something. Only reason why I still come to this location is because it's the closest near me. Tonight I am forced to leave a review which really blew my lid. 730pm Monday evening. Came in for their advertised Double Chalupa Box... what a surprised, no Chalupa available. Huge sign outside that said "Come in and try Double Chalupa Box"... So changed my order to Power Burrito... another surprised, no Steak available.
