This store is incredible! I’ve made off with some finds there that I would never expect to have found anywhere around here. The guy is always nice and extremely helpful, but he also ordered 2 records for me without any issue so long as I promise to buy it and not go somewhere else. Yes, it is appointment only right now with covid which is an adjustment but if you ask the guy when works best, it’s usually within the next hour or so. He makes ya wear a mask and rightfully so, but he also has plenty of sanitizer to spare so that neither his records nor you are getting compromised. Go to this store and browse what they have to offer! I have found my share of funk, southern rock, RnB, etc but what also shocked me was the obscure records I never thought I’d find and have to buy online - kikagaku moyo, Khruangbin, childish gambino - the guy keeps a WIDE variety of tunes both old and current - lots of punk and metal which isn’t quite my scene but the guy has a WIDE array of things and if you are looking for something you really want but isn’t there, ask the guy, he will be happy to look and see if he can get it for you! Thank...
Read moreI wrote this place off after I stopped in many years ago while on a walk with my husband and kids. The clerk (maybe owner) literally followed us around the store as if we were trying to steal records. I didn't appreciate it and we never went back. Fast forward to 2022. My dad flew into town for his birthday and he collects vinyl so I bit the bullet and was going to take him here since I know they have a great selection. I see on their facebook that an apt must be made due to Covid so I call to set this up. All is well until he says 'I'm putting you down for +1 correct?' and I ask for it to be 4 adults total since I'd like to go with my dad and bring our spouses. The owner then berates me on the phone about Covid procedures (which I never once gave him any grief or hassle about) but still sets up the apt. Fast forward a few days and we go to the shop for the apt and it is completely closed, not a single light on and no one answers the door or phone. We eventually took our business to a record shop in Ohio City where they appreciate their customers. Keep up the awesome...
Read moreI always feel like "OK, t this point in my life(52) I definitely have seen every record & cover that was ever put together" as far as classic rock from the 60's-80's goes... Nope! Every time I get back & go through the "new arrivals" section, I find albums thT are new, to my eyes anyways. Usually not just one or two either. On top of that, everything is way cheaper than any other store that deals with used vinyls. As long as we're not talking about Beatles or still sealed special first pressing promos that were pulled of shelves early due to some sort of artwork recall, so many are available in the $2.50 - $5 range. Great place to bulk up a collection. My only bummer is absolutely NO jam band anything, not even new. Deep, hard-core, slashin', speed, satanic metal & punk heads are in heaven though, maybe "heaven" isn't...
