All City Pawn Shop — Local services in Lancaster

I went here yesterday for a pawn loan. I got a fair estimate for my item, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, so I told them I would be going to a few other places to check. I was given their business card, and told if I got a higher price somewhere else, to please call them and let them know, and they would try to work with me.

As it turned out, I was given a better quote at one of the other 3 places I went. As I had appreciated the fact that All City had given me their card for this purpose, I did call to let them know about the new offer. The man on the phone told me if I returned, they were sure they could match it. I felt like they cared about me as a customer, and had much more of a personal touch than the rest of the places I had visited. Based solely on this fact, I decided to go back, and I was so surprised when I was offered an even better deal than I had expected.

The location itself didn't have the somewhat dangerous and clinical feel I've grown accustomed to from other pawn places. I was told clearly what the charges and interest were on my loan, and what the terms were as well. Bought an item a couple days ago, which didnt have the original power source that it came with ( had a replacement, same voltage required, however it wasn't for the item purchased) . Anyway when my husband noticed he advised I call to let them know in case it was a mistake. Called, let them know .. their response? " it works right? Me: yeah but that's not the point . Them : well its the same voltage so it doesn't matter , you can bring it back if you want ". We chose not to take it back. The point was not if it worked because if it DIDNT it would have been taken back. The point was I spent my money on something and expected it to be original parts, in case I'd like to sell it myself one day. Long rant short inspect everything before you LEAVE ANY SHOP. I expected one thing and got another, definitely my fault . Expectactions lead to disappointments. I or anyone I know won't be spending any money there 🤷‍♀️...

This place is a good pawn shop the young guy that’s sometimes is there is very nice he has helped me out when I was in need big time but the problem here is the man with the glasses that’s always there he is there most of the time and he is the only one that always tries to low ball people and he is very rude and is never willing to me out in any way whatsoever . I’ve done business with this pawn shop for over 1 thousand dollars and had a experience doing so because of the other guys but I won’t be coming back here anymore because most of the time I get lowballed and ripped off really bad when the other mannwith the glasses is there .
