Supersonic Music — Local services in Lawrence

My overall experience at the store in person was good. I was in Lawrance, KS for a local show. And I drove all the way from Tulsa, OK to see the show with my brother. And it’s sort of our thing to go see the local music shops in city’s we visit. And when I stopped by Super Sonic Music I fell in love with the Omete Murcury cymbals they had available. They were sonically amazing. Great projection that cuts through the mix well and not too dry or too overbearing with overtones. So I purchased the 14” hats. And about a month later I went back to buy 2 crashes. They’re great but alas. Good things do not last and the crashes have given in to cracks. Well my issue with the low rating isn’t with the gear but with the service or lack of follow up when I called the store asking about any type of warranty or solution to my cracked cymbals. You know like you would with Mienl and such. Being that Omete is a Chinéese brand I knew that the easier route would be to contact the store they authorize with. But the workers at Super Sonic have ignored my concerns and just never got back to me. It’s a bit of a let down because the Omete cymbals are pretty good and even better at an affordable price as a pose to the other well...

The folks at Supersonic Music have certainly proven themselves to be some of the best in the industry. I've had excellent customer service with them every time I've walked in the door, and they are always eager to answer any questions I may have; Michael and Derek have been excellent in specific! Not to mention, this place has excellent inventory. Straps galore, all the tech and accessories you'd need for just about every instrument, and a huge wall of guitars. Not to mention a nice supply of ukuleles, mandolins, drums/cymbals, keyboards, etc., all at fair and reasonable prices.

I'd highly recommend you go there for all your musical needs, or even just to pick their brains and try out...

We are very fortunate to have two outstanding music stores in Lawrence. Supersonic has a more broad range of products. In addition to guitars, they also have a lot of drums, percussion, keyboards and amplifiers. They also stock a wide range of effects pedals, digital audio accessories and microphones. The only drawback is that the shop is small. If more than a handful of customers are there, it will feel crowded. But that's a small price to pay for an outstanding selection of music related products. Speaking of small space, they also have really good prices.
