I cannot say enough positive about this facility. My family has a long history here - my parents volunteered here in their retirement years, and my mother lived here for a number of years before her death in 2015. My father had rehab at Heritage in 2019 and is currently receiving care again after multiple falls and cracked ribs. Because of a positive covid test at the time of hospital discharge, he was unable to transfer to Heritage Hall - he had to go to another facility that was absolutely ABYSMAL in terms of medical care, rehab, and service. That care made us appreciate even more the excellent service and care offered by Heritage Hall.
As other reviews have noted, many staff members have worked here for over 20 years. What a testament to the 'family' that the staff has created amongst themselves - very unusual for a facility like this to have such staff stability. When my father arrived, many staff members greeted him with true warmth and concern. They remembered him from past years.
Special shout outs to Lynn Winemiller and Liz Ott (and others, I'm sure) who went above and beyond to facilitate the transfer out of that other awful place! And regular shout outs to other staff who go above and beyond to make sure my Dad has the care he needs.
Within 30 minutes of arrival at Heritage, the care my father was receiving was a total turnaround from what he had received at the prior place. Staff were on top of a potential bed sore, ready to give his personal hygiene the attention it needed, get him up and dressed and interacting with the world again, and make some treatment decisions to improve his overall medical status.
Heritage Hall is clean and bright - and the goal is really good care for patients. Friendly staff offer respectful care.
Of course we would all prefer that our loved ones never need rehab care, but when they do, I don't think any place could offer better care than...
Read moreI need to give a HUGE shout out to Heritage Hall Leesburg. Last Thursday was my last day working at Heritage Hall (only because I live so far away & was able to get a remote job). While the staff was making me feel very loved with a potluck & cake for my last day; my grandmother, who is a resident here, gave us a huge scare. After my grandmother had already been having a very rough week, Kim (ADON) came to get me because she was completely unresponsive. I was trying to talk to her to see if I could get her to talk or even just move her eyes but she just laid there unable to respond. I was amazed with how quick the staff responded and was able to help get her the things she needed. They worked diligently as a team to provide the care needed and went above and beyond talking to her the whole time. A little while later she was able to talk some & start moving. Staff from almost every department was very concerned & came in and out to make sure she was okay as well as myself and my parents when they arrived. I saw this everyday with the staff here because they all truly care about the residents. However, experiencing it first hand really makes the situation less heavy to deal with, especially knowing you do not have to do it alone. I am blessed to have been apart of this team and even more blessed that my grandmother is able to reside here. Somewhere that we feel she is safe, loved & truly cared for. With that being said, if you are ever looking for a nursing home/rehabilitation program for your loved one and you want one that feels like home and will make you feel as though you are apart of their family, this is definitely the one to choose. Thankful for Heritage Hall and all the staff...
Read moreLast year, I had a severe illness that almost took my life. I was at Inova Loudoun for two+ weeks then moved to Heritage Hall for two weeks of rehabilitation. I cannot praise the nursing staff enough for their care and concern--not only for me, but as I saw, for all patients under their care. Unfortunately, I don't have names to quote but be assured that all staff is there to take the best care possible for all. No matter when or how often I pressed that button, someone came and was pleasant and responsive. Also, high praise for the PT staff, all of whom, made it a point to work with me to my ability to increase my strength. All of the facilities are very clean and welcoming. I was lucky that my room was across from the desk so if my need was not urgent, I could walk out and speak so that the nurse on duty need not have to get up to come to my room. Anytime, I asked, it was taken care of. Because I had a temporary colostomy bag, that posed additional needs. I was totally unprepared for that and staff took time to help and teach me. The social worker, Andy Robinson, is great at boosting morale and extremely kind in listening as I would want to chat, sometimes, holding him up as he certainly had plenty of other patients to assist. He did not hesitate to offer his support and his shoulder. For anyone reading this, do not hesitate to take your family, your loved ones, yourself to this facility. Other facilities may have more glitz, but Heritage Hall has love and concern for the patient's health and reaching the set goal for recovery. I thank everyone at Heritage Hall for all you did for me as I would not be as self-sufficient as I am now...
