Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Lenexa

I ordered a pizza at 8:30 and didn't have a pizza in my hands until 11:00.

Delivery drivers from this location used to be able to find my apartment no problem, but lately I've had to give multiple rounds of instructions before it gets here and tonight the first pizza never arrived at all. My tracker just said it was delivered and I received nothing for a 40 dollar order. After calling in to ask for another pizza, I was told that the driver said he left it outside of my apartment in my building without knocking. That's not doing the job at best and outright lying at worst.

I believe it was lying because I was checking outside my door and never heard anyone walking around my building (thin walls) plus it's always the same guy-an unfortunately disabled man who struggles to find my apartment, and who always knocks when he eventually does.

I'm not a hateful person and I know everyone has to make a living, but I believe it goes without saying that a pizza delivery person should be able to deliver a pizza.

Much appreciation to Alex who answered the phone. He made the effort to call after the second order was sent out to confirm that it arrived. He also gave me credit towards my next order. I can't wait to use it and wait another three hours lol

Like pizza hut, you have literally FAILED TO DELIVER!!!! The ONLY reason you get two stars is because you sent out a ROBO email apologizing. Pizza hut did not do this. Although I am still going to hold you to standard and never order from you again. No pizza hut and no Papa John's. Minsky's at least delivers their pizza.

If you cannot deliver pizza and a door dasher has to bring it, you lose my business. PERIOD, end of story. You never called to inform that delivery isn't available. Sorry, but door dash isn't pizza delivery from your company. This is inexcusable. Find out what Minsky's does right, and MAYBE I'll give you a chance again.

At least I got a robo email, but nothing makes me angrier than dishonesty and lack of integrity. I would have NOT ordered if I knew it would be doordashed, late, AND cold! 50% off my NEXT order? Nice try. There isn't a next one.

To anyone else,? Order Minsky's. THEY ACTUALLY DELIVER! It's pricier, but it's going to save you being fed up with incompetent customer service skills. Nay, NONEXISTENT customer service at all to even display skills. Writing this review doesn't make a difference, my pizza is fricken cold anyway.... I’ve not ordered from this place before. There was a little glitch in getting my order to me (things happen) but I want to say these folks went above and beyond. I’m a retired exec chef, I know how things work. Can I suggest that before you post a pic of the pizza you thought was wrong and post a nasty comment in a review, that you first contact a manager. Remain calm. I would be willing to bet you that 9/10 times they are going to try to make things right for you. Folks don’t choose to work in the food biz don’t do so to deliberately make customers unhappy. Quite the opposite actually. Maybe the cook misread your order. Maybe the driver misunderstood the directions. And these days, please remember that many places don’t have enough hands. Those that are there are working hard to make sure your order is correct and on time. We’re all human. Please handle those folks with the same dignity you would like yourself. It’s easy to fly off the handle when things aren’t right but talk to the manager and when things are fixed, post that. And just a suggestion, but these folks are busting their tails for you.
