Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Lenexa

This is the second time in the last month I have had horrible food from this location. I arrived (approx 5:45 8/27/2021) and they had some cars already there and one that pulled in at the same time as I did. It took several minutes from when I pressed the button until someone took my order. This person had zero customer service skills. Grunted “Can I take your order”. I placed my order and again with a grunt “Anything else?” After I said no thanks that is everything they grunted just the amount of my order. It was then 9 minutes to get my food. The car hop was polite but was not wearing any form of a uniform. My burger was between warm not hot. The bacon on my burger was rubbery. The bun was pretty grease soaked. My fries had to have been cooked prior to me arriving as they were very cold, wilted and stale. I normally just order my soft drink normally but this time requested easy ice, it was on the receipt that way and had more ice than normal (was packed and approximately 1.5-2 inches from the top) I choked down the burger as I didn’t have time to reorder and wait if it was gonna take that long again. I didn’t eat the fries at all and there was very little soft drink with a Route 44 loaded full of ice. My experience few weeks ago was similar but I understand stuff happens. When it happens repeatedly is when I have an issue. So I now have spent $10-$12 twice (Bacon Cheeseburger #4 Combo, fries and upgrade to Route 44 drink was this order, previously added small Rings) and ended up having to go to my meeting in the area and eat a PB&J once I get home because my meal was trashed. With all the new places opening up in the area as well as the other places close by that have been around a while this location really needs to step it up or close. Should have gone to Culver’s next door!!!!!!!! Really sad cause Sonic has really stepped up their burgers ……. Just not this location!!!!!!!! Sonic if you are gonna give me a generic reply asking me to call or visit a website so this can be escalated to franchise owner why don’t you just copy paste my info and let them know. I never get responses (not just Sonic but all fast food) when I use websites to provide feedback and ask for...

If I could leave zero stars, I would have. We have visited this location 3 separate times only to either switch terminals 17 times due to blank ordering screens continually broken. We waited over 15+ minutes after pushing the button only for a female employee to tell us to hold. When she came back on the speaker as we were about to pull out, we mentioned that wait time and wondered what was going on. She ignored basic customer service skills and failed to provide a reason or an apology for the poor service. When asked for her name, she went silent. When she came on again, the same question was asked and she remained silent once again. Fast food or CEO - customer service doesn’t waiver. If you hate your job, go find one you don’t and try to maybe avoid consumer confrontation or learn how to properly carry out your job you signed up for. We didn’t need any special treatment, just basic human being respect. Rude responses and piss poor service is just a prime example of the entitled generation we unfortunately get to experience when you only have a job because daddy said he’d take away your credit card otherwise. We will never return to this location to spend our money. It’s an entry level job - get on board or get the hell outside and work in the 110 degree temperatures like so many other people who are much more pleasant and respectful no matter what age or gender they are. Just visited this location tonight and after this definitely don’t think I will be back. I’m not one to usually leave reviews but I just can’t even believe. I’m currently sitting in my room with the worst stomach pains because of the shake I just got from this place!! And my husband too! We ordered a couple shakes and two corn dogs and spent like 15 minutes in the drive thru.. can visibly see everyone in the back just talking and having a good old time like all the customers don’t exist lol. Anyways, someone finally gets to the window and we give them the money for the order proceeds to hand us the two corn dogs and says bye and slams the window back shut. Me and husband are in confusion cause she just totally dipped, and we waited for a few minutes until she finally made her way back to the window and we kindly said she forgot the shakes. (Good sweet God almighty I wish we would have just let her forget the shakes 😭) Anyways, we start drinking our shakes and notice there is kind of an off smell and slightly sour taste and we both stop drinking the shakes and wait till we get in the house to check it out. I dump them out and there’s like a yellowish liquid in the bottom of the cups and it is RANNNKKK. Idk if the ice cream machine hasn’t been cleaned or it’s old product but wow, I am nauseous just typing this. I am absolutely disgusted right now and can’t look at Sonic...
