NEVER AGAIN! I walked in and asked the young girl/ lady (owner's daughter) who was working the counter "How much are the dresses?" She replied "$8.00." Possibly ONE on the rack may have been worth the 8 BUCKS but when you see random bootleg dresses and lower end brands for $8 is just bad taste and price gauging in my opinion. But, that's not the only issue I have. This sent me reeling!! I was looking through the men's tie rack which are supposedly $2 (No one knows because a couple weeks before I paid a dollar. I guess their prices went up....SHOCKER!) and I found a really cool Yankees or Phillies tie that I thought my brother might like. I had it in my hand with the $8 dress when she ( the RUDE one) walked up behind me and said "Oh, I was looking for that tie." I thought to myself "Well she saw me over here (AND I AM THE ONLY ONE IN THE STORE) sorting through the neckties... was she doing an inventory to see if I had stolen it.?" What does she mean she was looking for it? Here's the kicker....She then proceeds to tell me that "You know that tie is TEN DOLLARS.?" I said What?! She said "Yeah there should be a tag on it. The tag should say $10. I explained to her there are no tags on any of the ties .I looked on the floor to see if it had fallen off but NOPE not a tag in sight. My question is when you don"t have any tags on your racks of tops, pants, shorts or your rack of EIGHT DOLLAR dresses....YOU ARE GOING TO TAG A TIE THAT IS USED AND DOESN'T HAVE TAGS TO BEGIN WITH? Needless to say I DID NOT purchase the tie or the $8 dress. She was rude and made me feel as if I had initially taken the item and then I was left to feel as if I had removed the tag from the tie. Either way I was left to feel like a THIEF. And in my opinion if there is any thieving going on...well. There are so many local Rehoboth Thrift Stores with reasonable pricing with helpful kind staffing. I give this place the lowest rating because after leaving there I left feeling pretty low. That's just bad business and looks as if she needs a 101 course on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give less than one star I would! This was our first and LAST time visiting this store. The girl behind the counter was rude, dismissive, & playing on her phone. I had found a cute little alarm clock that changed colors for each of its functions. I had read the sign that said all sales were final & once it left the store it was no longer their responsibility. Ok, Iām fine with that. As she rang me up I asked if the item indeed worked, she said ā we do not guarantee any of our itemsā. It was only $5 but I asked if I could open it and see if it worked as she handed me my change and she said ā itās yours now so open it. ā well it was obviously broken, like in pieces so I said I would not be buying it. She then chastised me & said that they donāt offer refunds! I said well I havenāt left the store like your sign states. She gave me back my $5 and was SOOOO RUDE about it! I would like to think that they arenāt selling items they know donāt work, but I highly doubt it. There are so many great thrift & second hand shops in the area but this one is a NEVER...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere was a CD sale on Good Friday. That afternoon I spent an hour going through the multiple areas of CDs- some in thin disc cases, some loose in a CD carrying book, some in original jewel cases & a few loose in a box. I picked out 25 CDs. When I went to pay, asked if it was ok to put the 2 loose CDs from the carrying book into 2 empty disc cases, so they wouldnāt get scratched. The young woman behind the counter could not comprehend what I asked. She said CD cover cases were charged separately. But she said I couldnāt pay for the 2 covers, I had to take loose CDs out without a cover?? Does this make any sense? She raised her voice, got agitated, said she had never had this situation before; really did not appear to have basic problem solving skills. All this over 2 plastic disc covers that were useless otherwise. ? As an older person I shop often & also donate a LOT of items to worthy thrifts. The store lost a sale & a...
