Dunkin's Diamonds — Local services in Lima

I wish I could give zero stars. If you have any doubt that you may want to return an item purchased here, then do not shop at Dunkin Diamonds. Yes, it appears plain as day on their website that they accept 30-day returns, but they enjoy tricking people to believe that is the case. In store, you have to notice a small sign on the counter that says no returns and the sales people do not even verbally explain that to you. So after you have purchased an item, you are completely stuck to it because I have called the manager and they will not budge on their policy of no returns. Vons Diamonds in Lima accepts returns for 30 days, Kays accepts for 60 days. This to me is a sign of good customer service. Vons and Kays put customers first. Whereas Dunkins puts their own money-making policy first. I will also add, that when we began to request to speak to a manager, we were lied to by the sales person. She told me that their manager Kim was out of state and won't be able to get back with me. Well, I called the Florida store where she was supposed to be and she was not scheduled to be there for another week. The Lima store sales people put us off multiple times. The end to this story is, they do not care about your buying experience at all. They care about making money. Even if you might find something you like and take it home and keep it, I would not risk choosing Dunkins Diamonds because there is still that chance you need to return it. I never write reviews on google, but felt compelled after how we were treated and I wanted to warn you. You will probably notice their website is still VERY MISLEADING. The manager said she would take my advice and change it to make it clear that the Lima store does not accept returns, but two months have passed and they are still enjoying misleading their customers, and they are most likely still avoiding verbally stating their policy before someone purchases. I attempted to buy my wife's wedding ring here. We had what was told to us 3k in trade in value on our rings. We fell in love with a ring signed a deal put it on layaway and started making payments on the deal that was negotiated. I stopped in to make an additional payment and was told they lost the paper work on the original negotiated deal and that they could no longer uphold their end of the deal because they made a mistake. I get a call to come in and try and work it out and do so. Then I was told the value of 3 carats of diamonds and 18k gold settings are now only worth 500. Was given the run around not even apologized to and now we have waisted an entire month in hopes of having the wedding ring on the deal we negotiated. Very bad business and we were extremely let down. Will never reccomend anyone go there to negotiate a deal with people or a company that does business in this fashion. I was simply refunded my money and sent on my way. The district manager was very short and unapologetic over the issue. They originally attempted to get me to finance the deal. The amount owed was silly to finance not worth the interest just better to pay cash but had I financed the deal we would have had the ring on our original negotiated terms. Great customer service, beautiful lighting, and stunning jewelry selection. All the folks I worked with to find my soon to be husband's wedding band were wonderful. My nephew loved his eagle pendant and chain set I purchased here as well. The option of layaway was very helpful. Making layaway payments was easy at the store. They did an excellent job on resizing my engagement ring. Will continue to shop here for future jewelry pieces.

Update: My husband and I recently went back to look for a new wedding ring set as my current option wasn't feasible for my job. Kim found an engagement ring that had a low profile that I was wanting. Then she surprised me with the perfect sapphire and diamond band to accompany the engagement ring. This set is unique and gorgeous. We purchased it and had it sent out to be sized & soldered together. I am excited to have a new set before our 1st anniversary on 9/21/25. Kim, Sandy and Tim are all amazing and helpful.
