ALDI — Local services in Lincoln Charter Township

I want to start by saying I love Aldi and am overall very happy with the Stevensville store. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with one of their managers, Mark. I was using a self-check lane that wasn’t functioning properly. He was called over by an associate for help. Mark was rude, condescending and mysogonistic from the beginning. It started over the walkie and the female associate was so embarrassed about his tone she felt the need to apologize to me. He talked over me when I tried to explain the issue and then talked down to both myself and his coworker before sarcastically wishing me a good day. This is not the interaction you expect at an Aldi where 99% of the employees are friendly and happy to help. I’m sorry I found the 1% who isn’t. Daniel for the win!! Last week, I had visited the newest Aldi in Stevensville, MI and upon entering, I noticed how fully stocked everything was and how clean and neat it was as well.Once I was heading to check out, our cashier, Daniel, had to leave for a moment, but told me to take my time with unloading my hoard of groceries onto the belt. As I was unloading, Daniel came back promptly and noticed I had my gallons of milk in the bottom of the cart. He kindly picked them up for me, so I wouldn't have to leave my spot in front of the cart. The building is spacious and open, lots of area to shop, and maneuver around. I was surprised to see only one cashier attended lane, and the rest are self checks which seems to work. The cashiers are super friendly, helpful, and outgoing. The store is well lit, and aisles are wide, which is great and it's super clean and maintained. A smaller product selection and variety, but they have many specialty items, which I appreciate. I find myself trying new specialty items each time I shop, and that's helpful because it peaks an interest to try something new. The prices are always guaranteed to help you save.
