Wait time was barely 10 minutes (It was a Wednesday night around 6PM) not bad - We were seated quickly with fresh hot rolls and told our server would be with us shortly, after 10 minutes with the rolls already gone, our 'waitress' comes from behind the bar area where she had been bartending and gave us plates (our rolls were already gone) and took our drink order. The extra rolls and drinks were delivered by someone else 15 minutes later, everything was fine. After the drinks being dropped off we were wanting to place an appetizer order which we finally did around 6:45, and then a few minutes later another waiter approached us asking if we were ready to order our entree's, so we decided just to put it in with him since our original waitress was busy. We received the apps around 7:30PM (we got the texas sampler with a bit of everything so the wait time was valid) from a different waitress, then turn around and a 4th different male waiter was bringing our soup and salad!! We all ordered steaks WELL DONE, and we received the food @ 8:14PM and all the steaks were pink inside but the outsides somehow burnt, we tried tracking down our original waitress who had been behind the bar all night but was told she stepped out for a smoke break, understandable, (another lady also went up to the front to ask for coffee and more drinks for her table) so I asked that waitress if they could cook our food a little while longer since all the pink was still raw and blood on the plates and she said she would check and come back to the table to let us know, she didn't come back and our original 'waitress' came back (8:30PM) saying the classic "I'm so sorry our kitchen is closing for the night can I get you guys some boxes?" Our jaws dropped.. we showed her all the pink meat in both of the steaks and she just took it to the kitchen and left the bill, my husband tried tracking her down to at least remove his meal since he didn't even touch it and she avoided us by walking in the kitchen, we waited till about 8:50 and finally just left cash on the table, shouldn't have tipped at all but we aren't d*cks. Sad the bread and Cinnabutter will be the only good things about this place, save your time and money and go to chili's or applebee's, my family will not be back to this location...
Read moreVisited on 04/21/2025 around 6 pm. I was undecided where to eat dinner, so my husband chose this place while we were driving around looking for a place to eat. The place was cowboy Texas themed, so the restaurant decor and atmosphere was fitting. Our server was very friendly. I wish I remembered her name.
Now, the food review: we started with the Texas Flower. We started eating from the outside “petals”. I liked that the batter was light and airy with perfect crispiness. And it wasn’t too salty. Since our sauce was leaning sideways, I took it out of the middle part of the flower. That’s when I discovered the uncooked batter! I thought it was the sauce spilled a little in that hole, but upon closer inspection and tasting, it was no doubt raw batter. We brought it up to our server and she was very apologetic, and looked embarrassed, and offered to have the kitchen redo it. We decided not to.
Our meal came with either soup or salad and my husband and I both ordered their soup of the day, chicken dumplings, based on the recommendation of our server. Unfortunately, it was pretty bland, with no chicken flavor at all, and the dumplings were too mushy. We took a couple spoonfuls and stopped. Our server asked how we liked it and we told her it wasn’t our favorite. Again, she was very apologetic and later, she took it upon herself to remove it from our bill. We didn’t asked nor expect her to do so, but she said she felt bad because she raved about it and convinced us to order it. We thought that was very kind of her to comp the soups.
For the main entrees, I ordered the Sirloin Steak and half Baby Back Rib combo, and my husband ordered their Pasta Alfredo. Neither one of us really enjoyed our meal. The expected flavors and quality missed the mark.
The only redeeming factor of our visit was our super friendly server who tried her best to make our experience better. I almost forgot to mention that she comped the Texas Flower too, per the manager. We eat out a lot and don’t ask to remove certain things from the bill, but when our server goes above and beyond to correct the issue, it is to be praised and commended. She was...
Read moreI visited Texas Coral last year during their grand opening in Stevensville, Michigan. I ordered a medium well ribeye steak, and it was tough. I spoke with the restaurant manager about the tough steak, and she said that I was given a different brand of steak. I asked her to explain, and she said the restaurant receives two different types of ribeye steaks. One of the brands was better than the other one. She removed the tough steak from the table and said, I will get you a better cut. When she returned, I could see the difference immediately between the two steaks. Before I ate the steak, I took a picture of it because it looked juicy and it was delicious. I added the photo to FB, and gave Texas Corral a high rating.
On February 18, 2023, my boyfriend and I revisited the restaurant, and I received the same low-brand ribeye steak. We ordered two steaks, one well done and the other medium well. I was upset after eating two bites of the steak. I informed the server that my steak was tough to eat, dry, and unfavorable. My boyfriend told the server to bring our bill because I was angry.
On our way out of the restaurant, I saw the manager who helped me during the Texas Coral Grand Opening with the first tough steak. She wasn't nice or friendly this time around. I showed her my steak which was barely touched. The manager did not offer to compensate me, nor did she offer to make me one of the excellent brand steaks she had made for me during Stevensville. Michigan Grand Opening.
She remembered me because I repeated the exact words she mentioned at the Texas Corral Grand Opening. There are two brands of steaks, and one is better than the other. My question to her was, “How does Texas Corral determine who gets the better steak? Why does Texas Corral serve two different brands of ribeye steaks? Her response did not make sense, so we left. We spent close to $90.00, which included the tip. No customer should be treated the way I was treated. I guess the manager forgot that customers pay her and the staff wages. And if a customer doesn’t get treated fairly at any restaurant, we find other restaurants to...
