Cracker Barrel Old Country Store — Restaurant in Lincoln Charter Township

My boyfriend has been stressed lately as a pickme up I decided to bring him to Cracker Barrel as he has never been there before, we arrived around 8:35/8:40 we were aware the establishment was closing at 9 pm but there were other diners still enjoying their meals.

Our server Amy C. assured us it was fine to order and there was no rush to eat and leave. Amy C. was an EXCELLENT server. Our meal was hot and delicious even though the kitchen had a few hiccups all was well.

It was getting late and as we were starting to finish our meal I noticed the lady working the gift shop sitting down in the dining room which didn't at all bother me what did bother me was her glaring dirty looks towards us. We got boxes to take home the remainder of our meal and I assured my boyfriend he had time to finish his coffee while I paid. He expressed he wanted to look around the gift shop as he had never been to cracker barrel before, I told him I would inquire but it was already quite late and the establishment had closed.

I went to pay our bill and immediately Katherine was rude and disgruntled. I inquired if it was okay if we looked around for a moment as my boyfriend had never been here before she rudely responded she was cashing me out and closing her drawer as they had closed 40 minutes prior and she wanted to " go home already " as she had been waiting for us to " pack up and go " I asked if it was okay if I purchased a blanket I had spotted earlier and some chocolate bars Katherine let out a big disgruntled sigh and said " yeah I guess if you make it quick, I want to go home already "

I walked to go get the blanket and the candy second guessing if I should even purchase the items.

Sadly my boyfriend did not get a chance to look around and due to Katherine's behavior I doubt we...

Well myself my parents and my two aunts and my half brother all came in to visit us for about a week and this all happened about 8 months ago . The greater was a witch litterly she must of been in a very bad mood for some reason, then we got seated , our young waitress which seems she was around 17 she took our drink order my 81 year old dad ordered a alcoholic drink because try to calm down because 2 hours earlier we got done cream mating our 18 year old cat and he wanted some alcohol to help the hard griveing . Our drink order came about 15 minutes later once my 81 year old father got this drink , 5 minutes later a female manger came out of the kitchen area and this total democate woman had the freaking nerve to ask a 81 year old person for ID to drink alcohol and the drinking age is 21+ which means he is 60 over the drinking age. We were all hardy grieving hard and this freaking D of a woman had the nerve to do it , if there wasn't two young kids under the age of ten near by at the time, I would of told her a lot of colorful dirty words period. The D young waitress totally messes up our lunch/ dinner order 3 times , I ordered a burger which was way under cooked I could of gotten food poisoning from it which I didn't eat the burger to begin with. The floors were very sticky as well , if I was the government health inspector I would shut the restaurant down in a freaking heartbeat litterly forever . By reading past reviews on here it seems to me the whole restaurant business here is not going to last much longer I'm guessing that it will be gone in like 3 years...

Honestly this is my third time to a Cracker Barrel and this one was probably the least favourite out of all my experiences.

My wife and I had the Shepherds Pie with the crispy tots/hash and honestly they were a little too crispy/dark. The rest was good but not as good as the one I had at a different location 4 days prior.

My sister in law ordered Maple Bacon Glazed Chicken which took way too long to come out. Most of us finished our food before she got hers. There was also elements of it missing as well. She had gotten hers sides and was told that her main would be another little bit because they ran out of the bacon strips that were supposed to come with it. Which in my professional opinion wouldn’t have been so bad if she hadn’t already been a 30min chit time on her main.

Now I (as a chef) know how this may seem like I’m just another keyboard warrior. But after 14 years I can’t believe how such a simple dish took so long.

Also, the bathrooms were a complete disaster. When the cashier was told about it she basically shrugged it off and said “well I’m the only one up here and I can’t leave the cash. I’ve asked the servers to help me but I keep getting ignored.” Okay, where is your manager? It’s their job to step in when your co-workers can’t.

Lastly there was a lot of customers that treated the place like a lounge. Legs sprawled out on multiple seats and feet propped up on chairs. C’mon didn’t your mother teach you how to be in a restaurant? Or were you raised in a barn?

Anyway, this was a 3.5/5 for me....
