I brought a group of 7 coworkers to ZuhG mid Sept. We were all concerned about being cold, but Bryan got us hooked up with booties, hoods, and gloves and it was fantastic. It was the first time surfing for half of us and Skye and Paulina were GREAT instructors. They know what they're doing and they spent the entire time standing in the waves helping us figure out how to navigate them. We did about a half hour of ground exercises to orient ourselves to what we would need to do in the water and that was very helpful. Definitely glad I prepped by doing some squats and hip exercises for a couple weeks before, so I had stamina to stay out in the water learning the whole time.

Bring snacks for yourself if you need a break. Otter Rock was a fun place to learn to surf and they were all very accommodating. I can't wait to get back out...

Brian and Skye were so helpful and so amazing! Skye helped us learn how to surf, how surfing etiquette works, and how to stay safe in the water. We were at Otter Rock and the waves were amazing! It was an epic experience, and we learned so much. We had so much fun surfing! Brian at the shop helped us understand all of the gear and boards, he also helped us load all of the boards into our truck. When we returned the gear, Brian helped us unload it all, which was very helpful. Thank you for everything Brian and Skye! Great vibe at this place. I never felt like they were trying to rake every penny from me, like some beachside businesses will do. We visited here a few times during the summer '17 and received friendly and informed interactions. Their rental for wetsuit combined with a surf/boogie board was a great deal($40 during our visit(we did buy other gear so that might have affected the price)), and you keep the gear for 24 hours, so you can hit the water 2 days if you time it right. They also offer pre-owned suits here, which my wife bought a nice Roxy hooded one, and we purchased booties and gloves as well. Definitely, check them out, great...
