While I don’t want to promote it, this place is fantastic. All the fun of Lincoln City without the “downtown” crowds or congestion. Mo’s is literally across the parking lot, as is ample parking, an accommodating “baby beach” and a nice stretch of grass lined dunes for a hike, not to mention another overflow lot for State rec area. The Inn is family owned, not new but interior finishes are all tastefully upgraded. Amenities are nice! Crab cooking station, pet potty area with supplies, outdoor smoking area, fire pit, cookies in lobby at 5pm, continental breakfast with GOOD coffee each am. Staff is wonderful, John at front desk was warm, welcoming and efficient, room ready early. Welcome basket for pooches, you really can’t ask for more. Save your time by walking vs driving to the beach. Amazing for winter getaways with great rates. Fun and very popular area spring and summer. Blackout blinds keep Mo’s neon and parking lot lights out of your room. Garbage service am may disturb kiddos, sleep with windows closed and you’ll be fine. There’s guest laundry - young parents, I am talking to you! ;-) Taft is super historic - there’s a museum for nerds and grandparents. Hardware store nearby for fixes or batteries. All grocery is a little expensive at the beach, but nearby options are fair. Cute little pier in front of Mo’s for beautiful bay view pics and some crab and fish off of it. Get big chain hotel service from family-owned property well maintained to provide care and value for your family. Two queen room has small fridge, sink, microwave and coffee maker. Spend the extra and get 1 bedroom with full kitchen and make breakfast, lunch and snacks, then eat out for dinner - you’ll save enough for the nicer room. Back onto hwy #101 in < a min. Be kind and care for the place like your own so it stays special for everyone, enjoy!

Hello, enjoying our stay at The Looking Glass Inn. A short getaway vacation. The room is simple and a good size. A very comfortable king-size bed and the jetted tub is amazing with plenty of hot water. Enjoy a gas fireplace and a shower available in the bathroom. The kitchen has common accommodations for a short stay. A simple breakfast to start off your day. Coffee, tea, cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels, English muffins, an assortment of muffins, yogurt, water, milk, and fresh fruits. This place around here is known for Agates, so go and behold I went looking and I found my first Agate on Tuesday morning. So cool! It's a nice size of 2" long and a few small Agates. Lucky, I guess, lol. A very nice and comfortable stay so far. We will definitely be back in the near future. The front desk staff has been very welcoming and nice. The housekeeping ladies are so nice and pay attention to detail when cleaning our room. Thanks so much for a relaxing stay! :))

The Looking Glass Inn is charming! I had the great pleasure of spending my birthday here recently and had a wonderful time. What's not to love? A welcoming lobby (that's pet friendly!); free breakfast in that lobby every morning; cookies every evening from 5-7pm! (I thought that was a nice touch); and the feeling of being right at home. I loved walking around Taft and coming home to the Looking Glass at the end of the day. A special thanks to: Terry, who graciously checked me in when I arrived unexpectedly; Katie who prepped my room for me in record time(!); and John, whose fast thinking helped avert a mess when I locked my purse, keys and phone in my car! Thank you, Looking Glass Inn, for a lovely birthday stay! "Bisou," my trusty mini-poodle, says the same!

We received great service from a friendly staff. I needed to change my reservation by one day and they kindly did it for me even though I gave them less than 24 hours notice and the website says they require at least 3 days notice. They did it with no fees and she even lowered my rate $10 because there was a special going on that couldn't be received when booking online, but since she was rebooking my stay over the phone, she was able to lower the price. They are located in an excellent spot right off the bay only a short walk to the sandy shore and waters edge or one of the local bars and restaurants. Fresh baked cookies served after 7pm in the lobby. The actual 2 person whirlpool room we stayed in was very clean. The only complaint for the room would be that the TV had lost it's color and was in black and white, but we weren't actually interested in the TV so it didn't bother us, but I'm sure if it had they would've taken care of it no problem. The bed was large and comfy. We couldn't hear the neighbors at all, the whirlpool hot tub was pretty nice (not the fanciest hot tub, but still relaxing and clean), the gas fireplace was a romantic touch and heated the room up really quick after we walked back from building a little fire on the beach. The whole experience was great for a couple of kids who needed to get away even just for a night. We stood out on our balcony in the cozy bath robes they provide for your stay and talked while we looked out at the bay and watched people in the distance still enjoying their fires on the beach. With rooms at $99 a night and pet friendly options if you have dogs and let them know in advance, it's a great little getaway, right on the bay only minutes from nice beach walks and located in Lincoln City which is a perfect getaway town in itself. I wrote them this review because this was my second time staying with them and the first time I never took the time to write a review, but the service and experience was just as great the first time as it was this time so I wanted to share my experience. I will admit I haven't stayed anywhere else besides Looking Glass Inn, but that's because friends of ours highly recommend them to me and now I highly recommend you give them a try. I'm sure you won't be...

We had a great experience at this hotel for the Labor Day holiday weekend! It had a very pretty view and reasonable price for 4 days. |The good: |- Short walk to Siletz Bay and Mo’s, as well as the boulevard going to the food carts. |- The room had plates, silverware, and other amenities that helped and meant I didn’t need to pack a lot of utensils. |- They had a dog basket with sheets to protect the furniture, treats, and a guide for the area. |- Reception staff were super friendly! The breakfast choices were nice light options and they were very welcoming. |- The whirlpool tub was large enough for two grown adults and the jets were amazing for your back. ||The not so good: |- Parking was pretty tight/narrow for our large truck. |- The fireplace in our room was constantly on, with a small flame, so if the patio door was closed for a small amount of time the room immediately heated up and was very humid. |- Our keycard ended up demagnetizing twice, once around midnight so we had to call the emergency line and felt terrible about having a manager have to arrive to let us in so late. |- I had requested a birthday set up for my fiancé’s birthday in advance, and unfortunately it was missed so we had to stay outside of the hotel for a few hours longer than expected so housekeeping and the birthday decor could be placed. |Overall, my negative experiences were not bad enough to prevent us from returning and the genuine kindness of the office would encourage us to come back! Its walkability and distance from the main traffic of hwy 101 and proximity to mini-stores, the beach, and restaurants was...
