Lahout's Summit Shop - The North Face, Patagonia & Stio — Local services in Lincoln

We were visiting Lincoln with another couple for a week. Beautiful and friendly place, except for this place. We were looking to buy YETI coolers. We saw the sign they carried them here. Upon entering the store we were not greeted by the young man at the desk on his computer. I was also looking for a certain brand of casual men’s pants. I asked the young man at the desk if they carried this brand. He proceeded to tell me how they were a bad quality pant and they did not carry them. He rattled off some brand that he wore for rock climbing and how wonderful they were. I happened to be looking for a more casual type pant. Both couples were interested in the YETI coolers. It was very clear he wasn’t there to help us in any way. We ended up leaving the store. This was the first time we had encountered an unfriendly and almost rude person in NH.

On a side note: we did research and decided to buy ours at home from a small business. The other couple vacationing with us bought a $200 YETI cooler from the ACE hardware right next door to this place. Superior customer service and very...

Called in to ask if they still carried a certain backpack brand and got fully roasted by some grumpy old man who probably still hikes in 60 year old limmer boots and with an external framed backpack. There's nothing wrong with wanting an ultralight backpack or assuming I must have dirty girl gaitors. Yeah I do and love them. One of my favorite things I wore on the AT. Not sure why you have a problem with keeping debris out of your trail shoes. I've hiked 1000's of miles and wasnt looking for your rude advise. Used to love this store but definitely won't...

Was very impressed. We were vacationing during in November and there wasn’t much happening and since I love the Under Armour and NorthFace brands we decided to shop around.

Was impressed at how wide the selection of clothes and accessories they had for such a little town. The staff were nice and the store was well laid out and organized for having so much merchandise available.
