Claire's — Local services in Lombard

Today I went into Clare’s to finish up some Christmas shopping. It was 8pm and one of the associates told us we had to leave they were closing. Not only does the mall close at 9pm, Claire’s online itself says it closes at 9pm. Like especially before Christmas, 8pm is early. I just barely had gotten off work. I moved onto the next store and my boyfriend joked when we came in if they closed at 8 and the girl told us it’s weird they’ve been closing at 8 because they extended the opening hours for the holiday to make it 9-9. Edit: I had to go back three days in a row. I returned half the stuff I bought because it was missing pieces or was damaged. The kid tried to tell me about sterling silver earrings and how they bend. I told him he should have put them in the makeup box I was buying at the same time instead of throwing sterling silver earrings in my bag full of heavy things. Didn’t notice he just threw them in there. But I guess I should stop assuming people have common sense. Not to mention I have multiple piercings, tattoos and my ears are stretched. You must be straight up not thinking to tell someone modified how sterling...

I went to this location to get a double piercing. I had two different women pierce them since they did it at the same time. I don't know how to pierce ears, but on my left side I did notice a little bit of struggling with getting the gun out after my ear was pierced. Hours after the piercing, my left earlobe was still swelled up and red, it also was painful like my ear was on fire. Looking at the directions sheet they had given me, I felt it necessary to "loosen" the earring and since it was so poorly done it came right out. Not even 10 seconds later I tried to poke it back through and there was absolutely no trace of a hole in the back of my ear and I was only able to get the earring halfway through my lobe. The next day I went back and told them the story, only to get told I "shouldn't have messed with it", even though I followed what their instructions sheet said. They tried to re-pierce the ear, but couldn't do it again. They jammed the gun on my ear and I felt the same pain I did the day before, except now I didn't even have an earring in my ear. I do not recommend going here to get your ears...

Beware!!!! This location is a rip off! They have multiple "sale" prices that are very confusing and say that it is only at that location! Found out that several of their locations are closing, so all items are "final sale" at this store. I was in line and people were looking at their receipts and commenting that they paid more than they should have. I spoke to one dad and his daughter was charged more than original list price on a few items and then their discounts kicked in!?? Since it was a couple of dollars, they did not want to wait in the long line to question it! One lady did and was told all items are "final sale" and the person at the register basically told her too bad, I can't do...
