‼️DO NOT SHOP AT KAY JEWELERS, SPECIFIC LOCATION: YORKTOWN CENTER MALL & AURORA OUTLET MALL‼️
I am not the type of person to write bad reviews on the products that I purchase BUT I have to tell others so that they can avoid the experience that my wife and I have experienced. My wife ordered my wedding ring on the 5th of October at the Aurora IL Location and received it before our wedding on November 1st 2016. WITHIN 3 WEEKS it was completely cracked opened in the weakest spot of the ring and indented in another area. So we took the ring back to the Aurora location, and they told us it will be ready by the 15 of December. When the ring was "Finished" we did not receive a call so my wife and I decided to take a trip to the store to see if our order was ready. David is the name of the store manager that helped us at the Aurora location. So the ring that he gave us was a completely different ring. 1) the ring was originally high polished with brushing over parts of the ring! When we got the ring back it was highly polished with NO brushing. 2) There was a crack where it originally broke. They call it an "inseam" but it was still broken. 3) The ring was light like plastic and had no authenticity numbers on the inside of the ring. ALL THE SALES ASSOCIATES DIDNT EVEN KNOW THAT IT WAS THEIR RING UNTIL WE SHOWED THEM A PICTURE OF THE ORIGINAL RING!!! So we took the ring to the store in Yorktown mall only to find out that the store manager there is the wife of the store manager at the Aurora Location. His wife Deena (or spelled) Diana was very defensive and took this matter very personally. My wife stated to her that this is not a personal issue and that Davids customer service was not as great as she believes it to be. My wife also informed her that David (Store Manager of Aurora Location) told us that the crack in the ring AKA the "inseam" is how it's suppose to be. She was very rude and defensive in how she adressed the Issue. She also tried to explain to us that whoever Kay Jewelers pay to fix rings, there are multiple people that deals with the rings so something things can be missed. I personally find that to be and excuse and it looks bad on the company that there excuse is that they have multiple people handling your ring so things get missed! An exchange was offered but the ring that we were going to settle for, a balance of $291.17 would have been the difference that we would have had to pay. Needless to say we are not happy, and our business will no longer be...

I cannot say enough about Sarah Bragg, the store manager at Kay Jewelers in Lombard. Although she was not the original sales associate who helped me, she went so far above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment she stepped in, Sarah treated my situation with the kind of care, professionalism, and personal attention that you rarely see anymore.
She didn’t just “do her job” — she genuinely listened, understood what I needed, and took ownership of making sure everything was handled perfectly. Her knowledge, patience, and commitment to excellent customer service made all the difference. What truly stood out to me was the way she made me feel valued, like my satisfaction was her top priority.
It’s not often you walk into a store and encounter someone who embodies integrity, compassion, and leadership the way Sarah does. Kay Jewelers is lucky to have her as a manager, and because of her efforts, she turned what could have been just an average experience into an exceptional one.
If you’re considering a purchase at Kay’s, I highly recommend visiting the Lombard location and asking for Sarah. She is the definition of going above and beyond, and I can confidently say that she made me a...
Read moreExperienced the worst employee interaction at this jeweler yesterday 8/21/18. Fast forward a couple months I came here months prior to buy my husband a wedding band, the lady told me I could come in whenever to get my ring cleaned. I came here yesterday and when I politely asked for the employee to clean my ring, she said "sure" she then proceeded to ask where I bought it. Which was rude. The first time (when I bought my husband the ring) the lady cleaned it with a buffer machine which was loud, and when I went yesterday when the lady walked away and came back with my ring. I didnt hear the machine and I asked if she cleaned it, she said yes with chemicals. I simply stated " I heard cleaner wasnt the best for diamonds " she then responded with an attitude well this is how we do it. I told her she didnt need to have an attitude. She tried to curse me out , long story short the day working on 8/21/18 in Yorktown mall at around 5:30 PM with dark hair needs to get fired and I will never go to your poor service skills again , especially for a simple ring cleaning. ** I also posted this the same day however i accidentally wrote it for a different jewelery store in Yorktown, I deleted my holland post , this bad customer service interaction...
