Spencer's — Local services in Lombard

Spencer's is always the fun store to go into as you never know what you might find. I started shopping with them back in the '80s I believe. The stores are a lot different now but there's always a great variety of interesting merchandise. Currently my kids are big fans and anytime we run across one they like to stop in as they can always find something to buy. I would give this particular location a good review just for the employees who were very friendly and assisted in finding several items. My daughter and her friends were racially profiled and accused of stealing jewelry at this store by their associates. As soon as they walked into the store they were followed around by one of the associates. She was walking around with a beanie and Her friend had a necklace. They were still shopping and a woman told them to leave. Then when they tried to go back and get the woman’s name that accused them they would not let them back in the store. They have no reason to steal they all had their own money. In the Day and time we are living in today this is very disheartening that teens of color can not go to this store without being accused...

Horrible customer service my daughter and I were inquiring about a wallet which was damaged. We asked to see if they had a different one which the lady said no. We asked to see if we could get a discount because the item was damaged. She said no it was from the manufacturer and they couldn’t do nothing about it. Then we proceeded to see if we could order it in store to get it shipped home. They refused to help. A different employee said that it would take her 20 minutes to go through the process when I can just go home and do it my self in 10 seconds. What exactly are the employees getting paid for? It’s...
