Just left the store in Lombard, Illinois in the back of Yorktown mall. I was trying to find a lamp to purchase there which we’re not in the Wright area when an employee by the name of Johnathan was actually trying to help me. He stopped another employee that had the phone in order to scan the labels in his name was Mike. He didn’t talk or look at anybody and scanned a few labels and just went about his business saying that this may be it. The other employee had asked Mic to continue to help me and Mic had stated no which I heard from around the corner. At the time I went around the corner and I said what did you just say to him and he looked at me and I said no now I don’t want your help. At the same time the manager of the store whose name was Alec was going into the back room heard the situation looks stopped and kept on going. He never stopped to see if a customer a.k.a. Guest needed assistance, never ask what he could help with just went the other way. I went to the front desk, asked for the manager and asked if that’s who the manager was and when Alec came to the front, I said to him that you were the one in the back that heard the situation and kept on going into the room. He continued to say that he heard me yelling at him, which was not the case. I asked him to get Johnathan because he was not there for the situation if a manager cannot address any situation to customers that are still shopping and not online shoppers only then they should not be manager. I’m notating this to see what kind of service that the customers that are actually still shopping will get when they enter the store. If the manager can’t be nice enough to help their guest and avoid all the situation then what do you think you’re gonna get when you go shopping. I have made a complaint with Target and I hope this gets pursued. It’s sad to know that this is another reason why people stop shopping because of the customer service that they get from what these companies are hiring to provide to...
Read moreVery poor training at this location. Same day, 2 employees from 2 different departments did not have a clue. Or so they said. Firstly, the young lady overseeing the Ulta department claimed that her device to conduct in-store purchases was not only frozen, but that Ulta cards were not accepted. Not only have I used my Ulta card to make purchases in Target stores before, but I have made them w this exact employee! She gives me the same line every time, and every time I ask if we can try it and it works. Which is why the "locked screen" seemed fishy to me. I also stood there while she repeatedly smacked the device w her long acrylic nails and said "See? Not working". True or not, why is she completely solo w a faulty device? Who assists her when she is unable to conduct service for an entire department? Smacking a touch screen device w thick studded nails is not the solution. Secondly, an older woman that was over seeing the self checkout. I asked her to assist me in applying a 15% discount for beauty products from my Target wallet. The discount stated that it could be used in store or online. Since I had products sitting in my online Target basket, the discount kept applying to that and not my in store purchase. She basically stated that she did not know how to reverse this and that she was not versed in the app and that these things just happen. It could be that my item doesn't qualify or the price was already too low(it was a brow pencil). Really?? Again, true or not, why are employees at this location lacking the most essential tools to do their job? How many times a day is this woman just shrugging her shoulders? C'mon Target, do better. This starts...
Read moreThis is my neighborhood target. I am from the neighborhood. Every time I shop here I spend hundreds of dollars. I AM TIRED of spending all this money in a place that treats me like I’m some sort of criminal or scammer. Trying to scam my way through target. Usually I get some comments or somebody watching me so close. But, tonight, I was made very well aware that I am being watched as I shop, as I pay. I was in the dressing room with my daughter and the employee proceeded to hold me for about 5 or more minutes explaining to me how I should behave in the dressing room and made it VERY CLEAR that target and it’s employees KNOW, THEY KNOW, what clothes I take in and how it goes in and how it should come out. I was the only one given this speech. There were other customers in the dressing room who came after me. None of those customers were given the same lecture. Again at self check out, the employee felt the need to call my attention and tell me that every single item needs to be scanned, as if I wasn’t doing so already. It is night time. Almost closing time. There are a few customers at self checkout. A lot of eyes watching, a camera watching, and yet I need to be told that it is necessary to scan every single item. Why I’m always singled out, I don’t know. The only thing I can think of is because I don’t look like most of the people that shop regularly at that target . All I can say is that I am disappointed because I continue to give this target the benefit of the doubt . I want to have a great experience or no experience. But Target keeps proving that just because I live in this neighborhood doesn’t mean that I will feel welcome in this...
