Chill Out Sailing — Local services in Long Beach

This year my birthday fell on Thanksgiving and all I wanted to do was to be on the open water. It was planned very last minute but when I reached out to David he was available and eager to make my birthday wish come true. He took me and a good friend out early Thanksgiving morning and we had an absolute blast! Captain David is an incredible host, very respectful and down to earth. His co-captain Remy also added to the experience! Together they make a great team and I wouldn’t have wanted to charter with anyone else.

For the touring experience he gave us plenty of options to choose from, in this case we just wanted to be on the open water. He is very familiar with the local area as well as the LA beach areas and Catalina. Next time we will definitely be taking a trip to Catalina Island.

I would not hesitate to recommend Captain David to anyone. I spoke with a few other captains but as soon as I got on the phone with him, I knew he was who we wanted to charter with. I can’t wait for my next boating adventure. I highly recommend this chill out boating...

I would leave 0 stars if possible. I pulled an entire group together and confirmed/paid/reserved for a day. He literally asked for a full payment and I received another confirmation text the day of the trip. Then again on the SAME DAY AS THE EVENT the guy calls me and tells me he’s sorry that he double booked that he actually had no idea my group was booked as everything is automatic. That’s crazy! I had over ten people that just got let down and made plans with who now have to go through this inconvenience. People have kids and hire sitters, or take off work, etc! The dude didn’t even offer me a discount or a different day, nothing. Told me the best he can do is refund my total amount of money paid. This was a few weeks ago and apparently they haven’t learned anything considering there’s another review for being extremely unorganized that submitted five days ago. Smh. Playing with peoples time is playing with people’s money. Lots and lots of businesses out there that care about their customers. Not here. Chill out sailing is so chilled out that they don’t even know what they’re doing...

This is definitely one of the best boat experience I’ve been on.

David is a great and very knowledgeable captain. He seems to know everything about the Marina and the great spots around. He is also super flexible, we asked him to make several stops to take some nice instagram pictures and he always said yes.

The boat itself is really comfortable and feels luxurious. We were a bit afraid of being sea sick but everything went fine as the boat is large enough and very stable.
