Title: A Stellar Experience at Hyatt Hotel Long Beach
Review:
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Hotel in Long Beach, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I entered the hotel premises to the time I checked out, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations.
First and foremost, I would like to give special recognition to Orion, the representative who made my stay truly outstanding. Orion's attention to detail, unparalleled professionalism, and warm hospitality made me feel incredibly welcome from the get-go. He went above and beyond to ensure that every need and request I had was promptly addressed, making my stay at Hyatt Long Beach a truly memorable one.
The hotel itself was a haven of luxury and comfort. The spacious and elegantly designed lobby immediately set the tone for what was to come. The interior decor was tastefully done, blending contemporary style with a touch of local charm. Every corner of the hotel exuded an air of sophistication and tranquility.
My room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and boasted breathtaking views of the surrounding cityscape. The plush bed offered a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided were of the highest quality. My favorite part of the room was the modern en-suite bathroom, which was both spacious and well-equipped.
The dining options at Hyatt Hotel Long Beach did not disappoint either. The onsite restaurant offered a wide array of delectable dishes that catered to various palates. The impeccable service and exquisite presentation of each culinary creation were a testament to the hotel's commitment to providing a superb dining experience.
Additionally, the hotel's amenities were top-notch. The fitness center was well-maintained and equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, allowing guests to maintain their fitness routine even while away from home. The swimming pool was a refreshing escape from the bustling city, offering a serene environment to unwind and take a dip.
Last but not least, the location of Hyatt Hotel Long Beach was ideal. Situated in a vibrant neighborhood, it was within walking distance to popular attractions, shopping destinations, and an eclectic mix of dining options. The hotel's close proximity to the beach was an added bonus, allowing guests to enjoy the sun, sand, and surf without hassle.
In conclusion, my experience at Hyatt Hotel Long Beach was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding services provided by Orion. The hotel's luxurious ambiance, impeccable attention to detail, and prime location make it the perfect choice for both leisure and business travelers alike. Without a doubt, I highly recommend a stay at the Hyatt Hotel Long Beach for an...
Read moreWhat a great hotel! I stayed here at the end of September for a business convention and could not have found a better hotel! Extremely close to the convention center, good food, great service, and a good gym!
I'll break this review down into groups: Restaurant: I went there for a very late dinner one night and had a turkey sandwich with a side of tomato soup. It cost around $16, which is about what the same meal costs at a normal restaurant. The portion size was excellent. Not small. The food was fantastic too! Definitely worth the money. That was the only thing I ate there though. Their breakfast selections were a bit unusual and my idea of breakfast is cereal or a protein smoothie. The closest thing they had were pancakes, but that seemed like it would be too filling.
Overall grounds: Very clean. Even with the place basically sold out for the convention, and airline staff, I did not see any litter inside the hotel, nor on the grounds. Very well kept.
The Gym: A good selection of cardio equipment. A few leg machines, a lat pulldown machine, a shoulder press machine, and a chest press machine. Overall a good selection. They also had a dumbbell area, a barbell rack, and a "jungle gym" type multi-function pully/pull-up type machine. The dumbbells only go up to 50lbs, so that might limit some things you do. They also had a few adjustable benches.
The room: I paid the extra $25/d and got up to the 16th floor with a view of the lake and the Long Beach Arena. Great views! The room was nicely appointed. The bed was a little hard for my taste, but standard for a Hyatt. The shower had great pressure and the water got hot quick. Most importantly, the blackout shades were one unit that rolled up and down from the top of the window. No more fighting with overlapping curtains to try and keep them closed with binder clips! Major win!
The housekeeping staff: VERY nice people! They were there early each morning getting setup and when they saw you leaving they'd ask if you needed anything. You could have the not take care of the room or just get a refill on the coffee pods if you wanted.
Parking was easy and worked well with the room keys.
The hotel was in walking distance to most things that you'd want to go to. There's a mall and several restaurants, a Gold's Gym, and a movie theater across the street. The main road, Shoreline Drive, has a bridge from the hotel so you don't have to cross the street at the light to get to any of the restaurants or bars by the marina. Lots of good food options and the city kept the homeless away while I was there, so it was a very safe place to walk around at night.

Pros: -Beautiful location -Quick drive/walk to beach and other attractions -Very clean -Food and coffee always tasted good -Staff were all extremely nice and accommodating -Beautiful pool and hot tub and was always clean
Cons: -Our bathroom had a frosted door that was easily see through, the hallway entrance of the room did block the bathroom off but anyone infront of the door can see everything. Awkward when staying with friends or anyone you don’t want seeing you naked..
-Beach view isn’t really worth the price. Yes it was pretty. But it was more of a crane your head to see view. Not necessarily hotels fault I suppose.
-Beds are hard and uncomfortable
-One of our towels had hair in it. Nitpicky complaint but something to mention.
-Food is very expensive. Pancakes and a coffee will run you up to 22$. It was very good food though. One unfortunate thing was the day I was leaving I woke up early so I could get food before my flight. It took around 30 minutes if not more and they didn’t give me any of the whipped cream or fruit it was meant to come with. The very nice lady at the cashier gave me a refund and a free parfait however.
-Concessions are also very expensive. A yogurt parfait shouldn’t be 10$. I shouldn’t have to pay 2$ for a plum, I mean seriously?
-They claim that food is available all night, but after 10PM they close the market down and you have to ask front desk for snacks.
-The water you can get from the fountain tastes like straight up salt and you only get 2 free water bottles a day. Every extra bottle is FOUR dollars. And it’s not great water either. Very cheap water that probably only cost the hotel a few cents to buy.
-You have to pay 40$ a night for self parking. After I paid over 1K$ for a 3 night stay I would think parking should be free. This was a massive rip off and not something that’s easy to see when booking.
-They added a destination fee and tourism fee to each night. I’m not sure if this is a normal Cali thing or not but weird.
-The pool bar doesn’t make the prices easily accessible and we weren’t aware how much drinks were when we ordered them. It was 8$ for a virgin drink which feels way too expensive.
Overall it was a very nice hotel but I wish it wasn’t...
