Longview Pawnbrokers — Local services in Longview

Buying here is fine. I purchase items from them all the time. Selling is another problem. The few times I've sold, or seen people sell, items to them, I feel like they are getting a raw deal. Once I saw a kid selling his xbox 360 console there. The young lady working the counter said they would not take the console unless it came with a game, which he had. She then proceeded to inspect each game's disk, saying they would not take games with scratched disks.

Coincidentally, the only disk that was in "good enough condition" for them to take was also a game that had recently released and could be retailed for 50 dollars. Of course, the game was "included" with the console that he was selling.

The last time I sold to them, they barely gave me anything for the tools I had. I tried to haggle with them, but they were having none of it.

Despite all of that, I still buy from them often. They do have decent prices, as well as a wide selection of merchandise.

I always enjoy walking the isles and looking at all the treasures this place has. I spotted a beautiful vintage emerald ring. They were attentive and noticed, so they took it out for me to admire. Pawn shop seems like there are lots of good items.. some are overpriced. . Some are reasonably priced.. besides the pawn shop.. the business owns apartments.. we had friends that lived in these places.. and they were not a safe place to live... Not a peaceful or secure place . Surely not a place you would want your daughter or son or grandmother to live. We've seen heavy drug activity.. alcoholic behavior from some of the tenants. Our friends have seen the same when we've come to visit them. We had to leave it was so creepy we had to leave.. the activity that made us feel real uneasy and unsafe.
