Review for Greek Village Restaurant
My husband and I recently visited Greek Village, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was just as impressive.
When we arrived, there wasn’t anyone at the door, but we were quickly welcomed and directed to a specific table. The staff was very attentive and took the time to explain the menu in detail since it was our first visit. This really helped us understand the dishes and make great choices.
Our server, Felipe, was fantastic. I asked for an appetizer recommendation, and he suggested the Feta Kopanisti, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our meal. It was a delightful blend of feta cheese, banana peppers, olive oil, and tomatoes, served with warm pita bread. It had just the right amount of spice and was absolutely delicious.
For our main course, both my husband and I ordered the Stuffed Chicken, which was filled with feta cheese and spinach and served with Greek potatoes. The dish was phenomenal—flavorful, hearty, and perfectly cooked. As a bariatric patient, the portion size was too large for me, but my husband thoroughly enjoyed his entire plate.
To top off the meal, we ordered the Baklava Cheesecake for dessert. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing dining experience.
The restaurant itself has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. It’s family-owned, and you can tell they take pride in their business. The decor was beautiful, with Greek-inspired paintings and a festive touch for Christmas. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, making it a great place for a quiet, enjoyable meal.
Beyond Felipe, another staff member checked in with us to make sure everything was going well, which added to the excellent service. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was wonderful too.
Overall, we had an amazing experience at Greek Village. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we’re already looking forward to...
Read moreMy wife and I drove over from Mount Dora for dinner tonight, we’ve been here before and had enjoyed the food and service her, this evening we were met by an older server when we arrived and she stated to seat ourselves anywhere that there wasn’t a card on the table as they were reserved, so as we chose a table she stood over us before we were even seated asking for our drink order, as we sat I noticed that the table was extremely sticky, so we moved over to another table, when the server brought us our drinks I explained that we moved because there was something sticky all over that table, she said, no that’s just how that table is, as if I was insulting her, which I wasn’t, she then never returned to our table an a younger more polite server took our order, as we were waiting for our food a couple came in and sat at the STICKY table and proceeded to tell the older server that there was something sticky on the table and she went and got a wet towel and wiped it off……..I thought what the heck, but what ever, the GOOD NEWS IS , the food was extremely tasty, everything from the pita bread and Taz sauce appetizer to the gyro meat, Greek potatoes, green beans, rice pilaf and broccoli was very very good and enjoyable. So a thank you to the Chef and the server who took over our table, you both made our...
Read moreWe love Greek food, but rarely get a chance to have it because where we live, even though a large city, has no "good" Greek restaurants. So when we arrived in Lake Mary, FL for a five-day stay and looked online, we were delighted to see the Greek Village restaurant with high ratings and also close to our hotel.
We both had the Gyros Plate, which comes with two sides and it's HUGE!! In retrospect, we should have split it because there was no way we could have finished both meals.
This was not your average gyros meat...it was so tender the weight of a fork nearly cut it and it was seasoned just perfectly...the best gyros I can recall eating. Additionally, the Tzatziki sauce was superb. Not overladen with a cucumber taste like some...just perfect.
We both had the house salad (very large) and I had Greek potatoes and my wife had Greek french fries...all were very, very good.
We ate here several times during our stay and are looking forward to returning to this area just so we can have more...
