PHO MAI — Restaurant in Longwood

This place didn’t really do it for me. Ordered a large bowl of pho with steak and brisket, and as you can see, all the meat is down at the bottom and completely cooked. Why is it so hard for Vietnamese restaurants around here to just add the steak at the very end before serving so it’s still rare when it’s served? Either this is a mistake of the kitchen or a mistake of my server for taking too long to bring it to me. Not sure but doesn’t matter, steak is supposed to be served rare, not well done. It was otherwise a standard bowl of pho, tasty but not mind-blowing.

Reply to Owner w/ Re-score: First, not sure who taught you how to engage with customer reviews, but being sarcastic to the customer and blaming them for not ordering correctly is not the best way to build relationships. Second, I have eaten pho at literally dozens of restaurants across the country, and MANY of them have been able to serve me a bowl of pho with rare beef in it WITHOUT me having to ask for anything on the side. Third, you claim that the beef was served to me "medium rare," and that's not correct. It was served to me WELL DONE, there wasn't even a hint of pink anywhere. I was planning on giving your restaurant another shot before, but I'm not going to now. And considering I visited your restaurant at lunchtime on a Saturday and not a single other person came into the restaurant the entire time I was there isn't a good sign for you. If you’re looking for exceptional Vietnamese cuisine, Pho Mai is a must-visit! I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and the experience exceeded expectations.

We started with the beef fried rice, and it was truly incredible. The dish had an amazing flavor, and the crunchy bits of rice added a delightful texture that took it to the next level. It was a standout dish that I can’t wait to order again.

Next, we tried the medium-sized Pho, and it did not disappoint. The broth was flavorful and perfectly balanced, with generous portions of tender meat and fresh herbs. To our surprise, the medium bowl was larger than the large size at neighboring pho restaurants, making it a fantastic value without compromising quality.

Our dining experience was enhanced by Son, our waiter, who was both friendly and attentive. He made sure we were well taken care of, and his excellent service made the meal even more enjoyable.

My honest review Love this place and the flavors that totally reminds me of my country!! As a Vietnamese, I'm not gonna say this is the best Pho restaurant but the restaurant that has Pho that is EXACTLY 99.9% similar to the real Vietnamese Pho (the noodles is that 0.1% but it's comprehensive bc it's hard to find that true noodles here, but it is good, tough, and not crumbly like some other Pho restaurant I've tried in FL) The owner and the waiter is cute and friendly, the restaurant is sooooo CLEAN! 1 minus (-) point for the restaurant cuz the price is a lil bit more expensive!!
