Japangeles — Local services in Los Angeles

I love mash ups in songs, superhero art, etc and Japanese style with an LA shout out totally works for me. Everything they offer in terms of clothing, hats and accessories has a very clean design.

A friend introduced me to the Japangeles about 2+ years ago and I really took to their designs. Back then, they had an online store and lots of friends asked where I bought their shirts as they've never seen it before. (I live in Vegas, Go Knights Go!) I was excited to visit their flagship store in Little Tokyo.

The staff was very friendly with helping me with selections. I had a blast with my nephew as we tried on all the different hats and clothing. I love how they offer a great selection of snapbacks and dad hats. I appreciated the free sticker swag they dropped in our bags.

I really wish Japangeles would re-open online shopping possibilities as I would check on any new designs as they popped. For now, whenever I'm in the LA area, I'll swing by to see what they have going on. But that's another...

Such a great clothing brand! Love the great quality, unique style, creativity, brand identity, JA rooted inspirations, and the fact that Japangeles is community-based in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, one of the last Japan towns in the United States. The fact the online shopping is absent on their website for the very purpose of bringing people to DTLA to experience the unique cultural phenomenon that is Little Tokyo, speaks volumes about founder, Roy Kuroyanagi's commitment to community. Japangeles is not only a wonderful clothing brand, but a modern day American story of hard work, perseverance, and the realization of a vision and dream. Would rate 0 stars if I have to. I feel like transparency is key to consumers, but not at this place. Prices aren’t displayed and it seems like I’m paying Fairfax prices at a place near skid row… no thanks. I’ll stick with Fairfax, also to mention my friends and I got racially profiled and watched like hawks by the associates. Even has one waiting by the door till my group came out and then I turned around and he was gone. Coincidence I think not. So rude I’m never coming back. Felt very unwelcome. Buy your street...
