Lanny Nails — Local services in Los Angeles

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a nail salon since I’ve started getting my nails done. My mom, sister, and I went to get three kind of services done: a pedicure, gel x nails and a full set acrylics. The lady who did my sisters nails was very nice and did what she asked for. Whereas the lady who did my acrylics was rude and kept refusing to do what I asked. I wanted a full set long and she straight up told me no. She didn’t want to do a long set for her own personal reasons that had nothing to do with me. On top of that, she was rude when she would tell me to put my hands in the dryer and to take them out and very rough with my hands. She also told me I can’t go on my phone while I was getting my nails done and it wasn’t bc she needed my hand at the moment she just told me to get off of it basically. And after all of that she told me at the end that if any of my nails break it’s my fault because she did them good. She was very unprofessional and rude. She also didn’t mention that they only take Venmo or cash but luckily we had cash on us but that is something they should inform their customers ahead of time. My mom got a pedicure and the lady she had also was very rude. She quoted my mom one price and charged her another. She didn’t follow a normal pedicure routine and kept making rude comments about my moms feet. This place is overall unprofessional and charge a lot for the horrible service they give. Will never...

Stopped in for a quick gel manicure and the place was really busy so I had high hopes. I was taken back to the nail station and was told to sit in the chair. Thankfully I looked down because there was an ENORMOUS cockroach sitting in my chair. The ladies swooped in and cleaned it up and moved me to a pedicure chair and awkwardly began soaking my nails. The tiny table at the pedicure chair was only on my right side so I had to twist and sit weirdly to one side and also balancing the UV light device in my lap. About halfway through, the lady doing my nails switched and yet another lady came in to finish the job. Near the end of this, she started removing a gel manicure on a completely different client while my manicure wasn’t finished yet. After all of this insanity I was charged FULL price, and while everyone was polite enough, and I remained calm…I don’t believe I’ll be going back. I've been coming to Lanny Nails for over 10 years now. I moved about 8 years ago, but still make the 45min drive to come here. I've tried places in my area, but find that Lanny Nails for me, is worth the drive. They're very reasonably priced & the ladies and gentlemen working there friendly and nice.

It is not a spa pedi place. You sit on comfier office chairs, but not the vibrating, back-massage ones with foot bath. It's one of the reasons they're able to keep prices relatively low. You get what you pay for, if you want the full spa treatment, I'd recommend you look elsewhere. But if you want a reliably good mani & pedi (regular of gel) and be in and out quick, this is your place.
