I cannot believe that I’m going to have to write a bad review for a florist I’ve been frequenting in the past 2 years for my personal home, and have been asking my DAs to get arrangements from for my personal interior styling projects.
I went with my SO today after doing a grocery run, since he wanted to pick out flowers for the week. He pointed at a funeral arrangement and thought it would be nice, and I chuckled saying it’s not the arrangement for our home. Malina went out and asked us if we needed anything, and I asked her to confirm if those were funeral flowers. My SO, who’s first language isn’t English, asked if it was for “passed people” or “dead people”, and this girl has ZERO chill telling him “It’s for a funeral, get it right”. I think that there is a better way to say it if you want to educate people, and not shame them for not knowing the correct term, especially when it’s quite obvious from my SO’s accent that he does not speak English well. She has helped me previously before and I was quite shocked of what she said and how she spoke to us during this visit, since she was never like this on the other times we went here.
I saw another person here who experienced the same thing. I’m so disappointed that I’m going to have to...
Read moreWe hired Little Tokyo for my daughter's wedding and it was a terrible mistake. I'm sure they never did a wedding before and they should have declined. Ordering the bouquets was fine but the centerpieces were a nightmare. Although we sent them pictures 4 months before the wedding, we didn't hear from Malina until 2 weeks before - and she could not grasp my daughter's vision (which was basic and flexible). We sent more pictures and spent hours talking to her, and she sent the first picture of a sample 7 days before the wedding. We said what we liked and didn't like about the sample, thinking we were working together, and her response was to cancel on us, with no warning. Not just the centerpieces but the bouquets as well, which we had already, easily, agreed on. It was not only unprofessional but cruel. (Please note: ALL our other wedding vendors commented, unasked, that we were pleasant to work with - no bridezilla...
Read moreThe folks at Little Tokyo Florist (LTF) are awesome! I called 5 minutes before they closed and they were very helpful and I actually felt like they were rooting for me to get there on time (although I would have understood if they closed)...shoot they didnt even have to answer the phone! They had a fantastic selection of flowers some of which I was searching up and down the flower district for, to no avail. They asked what I was going for, favorite flowers, colors, my budget and helped me build my wife a beautiful orange and Aries themed bouquet for her birthday! Thanks LTF! My wife loved the flowers and loved how unique the...
