I had the misfortune of visiting EightTwo last night, and I must say, it was an absolutely horrendous experience. The cherry on top of this disastrous evening was a rude and discriminatory security guard by the name of Eric who refused entry to a calm and quiet individual for no apparent reason other than baseless accusations.
Upon arriving at the venue, my friends and I were excited to spend a pleasant evening at EightTwo as we have many nights before. However, our hopes were swiftly dashed as we approached the entrance. A member of our group, who was a peaceful and well-behaved individual, was suddenly singled out by the security guard on duty. He claimed that this person was "swaying" and that they appeared intoxicated, which couldn't have been further from the truth. Our friend was not only sober but also perfectly composed, exhibiting no disruptive behavior whatsoever.
Despite our polite and respectful attempts to explain the situation, the security guard remained obstinate, refusing to provide any valid justification for his actions. We asked for a manager to intervene, but to our dismay, it was clear that the entire staff was united in their unwarranted stance.
This incident was not only humiliating but deeply disappointing. EightTwo's staff, particularly the security personnel, demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and respect for patrons. Instead of fostering a welcoming and enjoyable environment, they succeeded in creating an unwelcoming and hostile atmosphere. The treatment we received left us feeling frustrated, humiliated, and utterly disheartened.
In light of this dreadful experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend EightTwo to anyone. It is an establishment that evidently condones discriminatory and unfounded behavior from its employees. I urge others to think twice before considering a visit to this venue, as it seems that their management has little regard for customer satisfaction or basic human decency. My friends and I will certainly not be returning to EightTwo, and we hope that our unfortunate experience serves as a cautionary tale for...
Read moreThis place is the paradise of every child or teenager who lived in the 1990s. Original 80s, 90s, 00s pinball machines all working perfectly.
For those who did not grow up in the United States, exchanging notes for coins to play pinball is unprecedented, not having to buy special coins or credit cards, just tossing a 25 cents coin and playing, personally was a dream come true, I felt being teleported to the 90's, I miss what I didn't live.
In addition, there is a bar to get drunk, food, DJs on the lounge, all at a fair price, plus a bathroom that is beyond spotless clean, it even gives pleasure to use it; a place very different from what existed in Brazil, where arcades were considered places for outlaws .

Read moreFantastic and well-maintained pinball selection here, with both some perennial favorite machines (Addams, Twilight Zone, Funhouse, Ghostbusters, etc.) and some more rare surprises! The incredible pinball selection was the saving grace of this otherwise too-into-itself barcade.
For a barcade, it has a surprisingly pretentious atmosphere, complete with aloof doormen and curt bouncers in black suits, wallpaper vinyl EDM pulsing from a DJ by the bar, and a bathroom attendant who hands you brown paper towels absentmindedly while glaring at his phone. Even the pinball tech was a bit rude: when a ball got stuck behind a play feature on Whirlwind and I politely asked him to dislodge it (I could have just given the machine a hard nudge, but it's not my machine), he opted to just shut it off mid-game and disappear to the back.
Cocktails are straightforward and relatively unimaginative; picture cocktails you would find anywhere but with game-themed names. Prices are high for most drinks (e.g - my glass of Knob Creek was $11, signature cocktails were $12), bartenders were kind of rude: when I asked what kind of bourbon I should try, he poured me the most expensive and said, "have this, I picked it because it will cost you the most."
The food truck in the parking lot is an awesome late...
