HOURS Tuesday - Thursday: 8am - 4pm Friday - Sunday: 8am - 8:30pm Happy Hours: 4pm - 6pm Dinner menu from 4pm Monday Closed Per Los Angeles City Planning: the building that houses Cafe 2001 was constructed in 1924 as the Merchants National Bank. It’s a rare example of Exotic Revival architecture in what was once the city’s primary industrial zone, with exposed brick walls and a large central skylight that now define the café’s bi-level layout.

Saw a lot of #tourists walking about with their #rolling #luggages #teenagers about town. Mostly unfriendly, shocked to see a retired person with a walking tool greet them. Perhaps, mistaken me as a #transient. I do shower/ dress every day. Unlike the #homeless; they walk around the working class, begging for money for their vices The Skid row area (their destination) provides 3 home cooked meals per day, free showers, free clothes, free laundry, beds, affordable housing and shelters... So long rules & sobriety is respected... I Love Urban living. I cannot tolerate those ppl that choose to ignore #manners & #respect of others around them For example, they use "Excuse Me" as a command I drop everything for them Which I find absurd, especially since I am the Elder & not their slave nor misguided parent ... Enough! Oblige all the homeless name tags & badges to where they belong in Skid row & stop harassing the working class for a dollar bill; stealing from the grocery store as they leave empty packages as to pretend...
