My favorite store in the whole front range. Worth the drive from Boulder! I always know whatever I wear from Eleanor and Hobbs will be tasteful, flattering, and special. Tracy and Jill will never let you buy something that doesn't look stunning on your body type. No one else I know of brings back the freshest fashion from LA market to the Boulder area. Thank goodness E + H does that for us!
When I wear something from this place, I get so many compliments from friends--and strangers--that it borders on annoying! But I always tell them where I got it. It's basically a PSA for women who want to look and feel amazing.
Do not write this store off as "too expensive." There's always a variety of price points. I recently got a super soft, chic cardigan for only $64, and a gold colored, on trend necklace for only $30.
I'm so sick of Anthropologie! Way too easy to look like a fashion victim when you walk out of that place. I don't always want to look like I raided my grandmas attic and spilled every color of the rainbow on her old outfits.
If you want to be elegant, on trend, classic, stylish--and always look and feel your best in your garb--get yourself to Eleanor and...
Read moreSnobby, entitled, combative and the absolute worst customer service on the planet. The old adage "The customer is always right" does not apply to this owner. I used to think they had some cute things, but really it is just overpriced and trying WAY too hard to be en vogue and has missed the mark. Twice I have been treated poorly by the owner. Percentage wise not a good ratio. Doesn't matter if its paid for goods that shipped late (to the same town!) or if the customer has questions, she is abusive and defensive. A last word freak. Take note of her comments on Yelp as well after other customers had also been treated poorly. I am sad to have ever given this store my money in the past. The owner capitalized on the tragedy of the Superior/Louisville fires to make money. Shouldn't come as a surprise, telling folks to buy gift cards from her store to help the displaced fire victims when $400 could be better suited to meet their family’s needs than an overpriced scarf. Self-righteous and self-serving. We have SO many amazing shops in the Boulder area. Spend your money at a place that treats people with respect, not just her...
Read moreI wrote a review an hour earlier saying the staff has been consistently unfriendly & condescending, to which I received a reply from the owner that was unfriendly and condescending, calling out my lack of purchases at the store over the past year.
I have been a resident of Louisville since 2000, and have been going into Eleanor & Hobbs for years. I stopped in last week to try on a few dresses for a wedding I have coming up (all of mine burned down in the Marshall fires), and the employee was exceptionally rude, so I ended up not purchasing a $500 dress from the store (although I did purchase the same dress online from a different retailer).
My lack of purchases (which the owner called out publicly in her response to my review) is not for lack of visiting the store, but rather because I am uncomfortable every time I am there. Through the years, this has been the experience not just for me, but my family and friends. This was not a one-off day for one employee, but rather the culture of the store. After being treated even worse in the Google reviews by the owner, I won't be back ever again. I could not recommend...
