I have a been a loyal customer to Rori Bass before she started Trivium. I followed her from Tapestry Salon (now closed) in Louisville when she was there and was a client of hers at both businesses. I have been going to Trivium Salon since they had their grand opening and came here for facial services every month for many years. I regularly scheduled my appointments in advance and have never missed an appointment, until my 1st one today. I took ownership of my missed appointment and apologized profusely. They still charged my card the full $125 for the service and did not personally care as to why it was missed for my 1st time. To their credit, they offered an exception to the missed appointment AFTER I had called back canceling my next 3 appointments for the year and told them I was taking my business elsewhere. That exception should have been offered in the first place, but it was not, and they did not care. If it was an exception, then why was I STILL CHARGED? I understand business practices and policy, but this is bad business practice especially for loyal customers that follow you from previous locations and helped you build your business from the ground up. I even took my daughter here to see Caitlynn (Kassie, the other esthetician is better after I got services done with her last month). Ever since Rori moved out of state, Jasper has taken over as the manager in charge. Since she left, this business has gone noticeably downhill. I was staying with this business because I was loyal to her. However, loyalty does not work both ways with Jasper or this business, and as a customer that gets facial services done regularly, I will take my money and business elsewhere and will not turn back. I have heard from neighbors, coworkers, and friends that there a better ones in the...
Read moreI came to Trivium after pandemic self-coloring & trimming my hair for 3 years. I was scheduled with Omar, the specialist & expert for hair rescue! He consulted with me prior to my appointment to understand what I wanted, what I’ve done, & what is possible. He asked for photos of what I would like & also consulted with his team members. Omar advised me that it would be a long term process of getting my hair to where I want it. From my first to my third appointment with Omar, he has worked a miracle on my hair. I was traumatized in my youth & also by a previous hair stylist on cutting my hair short when I want to keep the length. I was afraid of layers. But Omar gave me the most beautiful long layered hair cut that brings out my waves. Omar has rescued my brassy multi colored hair to blending in the ashy tones to my grey growing out, so that my hair is beautiful now! Omar is taking me on an amazing journey of feeling beautiful, especially for my upcoming 50th high school reunion! I was anxious at first, but Omar has put me at ease & takes his time with his detailed artwork & effort in rescuing my hair. His salon teammates, like Jasper & Shayna, are fabulous with their recommendations. His styling blowouts are fantastic & I can reproduce them at home. Omar is spending hours & the fees are reasonable considering what Omar is doing for me. The salon is comfortable, the receptionist Ana is so personable & they offer French-pressed coffee, tea, lemon water, wine, & Madeline cookies :p Everyone at the salon is pleasant, upbeat, seem to love what they are doing. I can’t recommend this...
Read moreI have short hair, and it has been difficult to find someone who could cut my hair with a short hairstyle that actually fit my face and skull shape. Coupled with that, I also have gnarly scars on my scalp from neurosurgery. Due to the scars that I have on my scalp, it has been extremely difficult to find/get a short haircut that would keep these scars hidden while having the haircut still look the way I hoped it would. I also have a great deal of anxiety about how stylists will react to my scalp, which more often than not has kept me from getting regular haircuts. I went to see Kelly Day, and she gave me a short haircut that works with my face/skull shape and keeps my scars hidden. She is the first stylist who has ever asked about my scars instead of ignoring them and pretending they were not there. When previous stylists ignored them, it added to the shame/embarrassment I already struggled with. By acknowledging them and asking about them, Kelly helped me more than she knew, as she alleviated the anxiety I have always had that my scalp would make a stylist uncomfortable or nervous about cutting my hair. I highly recommend her not only for her remarkable haircutting skills, including knowing and performing the right cut to match face/skull shape, but also for the sensitivity she showed when she acknowledged my scars, helping me feel that they are not something to...
