… I applied for school and did my assessment as well as compete my financial aid, but no one has contact me about anything. Jacob and Guy while both have great phone voices, neither followed up once their calls were abruptly disconnected? And I express concern that I would not be in time for October 11 classes. Guy brushed me off when I ask he said wait even longer on an email as he states I should’ve had by now. He was very discouraging when I ask about coming in person to resolve the matter of me academic suspension from over 10 yrs of proper and he told me to wait further. How? Today is October 5 Thursday. I decided once he worked with me for 10 minutes and was disconnected and he didn’t call back, the best thing I could do was visit. Don’t be discourfrom going to the campus. Everyone was very nice and helpful and pointed you where to go and honestly the resolve was instantaneous! The campus looks nice they’ve added a great bookstore that we didn’t have when I begin here. I am taking advantage of the jumpstart program and when you haven’t been in school for a long time it’s best to do things in a where you’re comfortable. Some of us do better with physical action rather then waiting. Asserting yourself is still a great practice. Don’t wait for an invitation. It’s where you will have to have a working relationship with others. It can be frightening accumulating debt again or for the first time, I would suggest going in and talking to be clear again on what steps YOU NEED TO TAKE. Don’t wait, it could cause you to...
Read moreI'm giving this college 3 out of 5 stars because it needs improvement and organization. It is a decent school with people who do work with you on your issues with financial aid, courses, etc. Here's where it needs improvement. Communication and organization. Communication is ONLY decent when you have met the ones you need to talk to in person, or through the online chat. NEVER CALL THEM FOR ANYTHING! I'm not just saying that. You will be placed on hold for hours or you'll be past from one person to the next by phone. I'm not kidding. If you have a computer, I suggest that you go to the help center for online chat. Or scroll down to the bottom of the site and you should see the, "contact us" link. If you click on it, you should see a link that offers you 24/7 help by phone or online chat. Always choose the online chat. Sometimes, when you're talking to someone, it may take them a min to respond but its better than to sit on the phone listing to an automatic voice message on repeat for 10 minutes or more. In person (or face time as some call it), you're more likely to have your issues fixed. I've had issues with them before but each time Ive went in personally to address them, they were fixed. I've even had some issues fixed through the chat before I even walked on campus. The organization issue looks like its going to be fixed over time as they are changing the site and...
Read moreFor the past 3 and a half weeks i have been running in circles with this place, one star is overrating this college. i have went to 7 different people saying they cannot resolve my issue only to result in me going in person to speak with the dean and she had even told me that the issue was out of her control, (doesn't really sound right considering she is the dean of academics) they claim that their system online was up and working the previous week before school started but many students were having the same situation i was having to pay for their tuition. i did not need to set up a payment plan i do not have financial aid i was ready at any moment to pay for my tuition in full but again they claim that the situation was my fault. i did not miss any of my classes because they gave me the impression that i was going to be re added to them but unfortunately i wasn't, on that note i have experienced each semester with great teachers rarely did i not enjoy coming to class, honestly if you're looking for a community college just to save money and take your general education classes do not go here you will have more problems...
