My daughter and I spent part of her birthday weekend at The Lair Escape Room, and it was an unforgettable experience! This was our very first time trying an escape room, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The rooms were creative, challenging, and incredibly fun—we had a blast working through them together as a team of just two!

Booking online was super easy, and the owner was awesome—friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about making each guest's visit a great one. The entire experience was smooth from start to finish, and the attention to detail really made it stand out.

We made a memory that my daughter and I will never forget. I highly recommend The Lair to anyone local or visiting the Louisville, Kentucky area—whether you're in a small group like us or coming with a larger crew, it's a fantastic way to spend time together and have a ton of fun.

As someone who has done over 20 escape rooms over the years, the Lair has some of the most unique and well-thought rooms I have encountered. Moreover, the props and the eerie feel create a truly haunting and scary experience!

We did two of the rooms-the werewolf room and the horrifying holiday room. The werewolf room had me on edge, as I hadn’t expected it to be as ghoulishly creepy as it is: the props are really good and much more over the top than anything I’ve seen in other rooms! I was constantly waiting for bumps, creaks or other effects to trigger my senses! The holiday room was easier to navigate, but had some very challenging puzzles to try to get through.

Our first time at an escape room and it was hands-down one of the best escape rooms I’ve ever done! The horror theme was perfectly executed — creepy atmosphere, clever puzzles, and just the right amount of scares to keep our adrenaline pumping. You can tell so much thought and passion went into every detail.

Josh, the owner, was amazing. He greeted us with genuine excitement and really took the time to set the scene before we began. You can tell he’s poured his heart into this place. It’s a small, locally owned business, and like many others, he’s hustling to keep it going. It deserves way more attention!
