The owner is a grumpy old man. All he wanted to do is boast about how he is the only shop in town who has "xyz" but when I asked for Fuente 77 shark he says I carry them all yeah but I am not going to sell it to you. In shock I asked why he said because he carries all the other Anejo and "all you guys come in here looking for the shark and there is no reason" His exact words up to this point. Then he said if I buy a box then he would sell me one. I thought that was a little rude but no big deal. The I asked about a couple others and again he said "what would make you think you are a good enough customer to get these cigars from here" you are trying to cherry pick me. I told him I have been in here several times and even bought a over priced Peterson pipe on my last trip. I have never been treated so rudely by a shop owner in all my life. A simple not in stock answer would have been more professional. I will NEVER shop...

I recently got back into cigars after a 25 year hiatus. I went back to my old favorite haunt today. J. Paul was still there. I bought my fist box of Macanudo’s there in 93 for a friends wedding. J. Paul was so helpful then as I wanted something special and he took the time to guide me. He even gave me a good discount when he found out what they were for. It was great to go back in today and see things haven’t changed!! Except the selections today are much improved and varied. I’ll be frequenting often. You should give them a try. His knowledge is unsurpassed and just as friendly as ever. If you are looking for something special, they have it!!!! I have never met someone so rude and unhelpful in my life. Upon entry to the shop he was rude when we asked for a humidifier. Gave us the “beginner” sample and was extremely condescending when he showed us the way overpriced humidifying bar. My boyfriend was trying to explain what he was looking for when the owner looked at me and said “is this your boyfriend? I’m sorry.” Totally unacceptable. He then got mad when we tried to leave empty handed due to his behavior and over priced products. This guy needs therapy and a lesson in customer service.
