arc Thrift Stores — Local services in Loveland

I am disappointed with ARC stores. I haven’t been to this location in a couple years, but wanted to stop by and look at housewares since the items were (as I remembered) very cheap and affordable. To my surprise, the prices have skyrocketed and nearly tripled since the last time I shopped here. I had gotten several large glass vases in 2022 for .99 cents each, a set of dishes for $10.00 and several wall decor items for under $5 each.

Fast forward to now, most of the dishes were now $2.99-$3.99 per piece. A small set of old and used plates, bowls and saucers would have costed over $40.00. That’s not including cups/drinking glasses. (You can get a brand new full set of dishes with 4 drinking mugs at places like Marshall’s or Ross for $20) Glass vases for flowers were now mostly $8 and up, and several simple candle holders were now $14! How can people thrifting afford this???? Folks who are struggling and come here to buy a few items because it USED to be affordable, can no longer afford to shop here.

You guys are pricing items to gouge resellers and flippers instead of affordable things for people on a budget. This is why I stopped shopping at Goodwill because of how much they’ve jacked up the prices on FREE and DONATED items. There’s no excuse for this. It’s not like you’ve updated or improved the store or gave your employees a raise. Now it’s cheaper to go to Ross or Marshall’s and buy something BRAND NEW for the same price or cheaper.

I will say that the staff were very kind and helpful and I hope they’re reaping some of the increased profits you all are making. I doubt it, but...

Since 2007 I have shopped here regularly, i called it my happy spot. However the recently 2 times I've been there I have encountered a lady who works there who went out of her way to be extremely rude to me. The first time I was trying on shoes, witch I have tendenites and I have to try shoes on cause my regular size no longer fits so I need to make sure I'm able to wear them and they don't rub when I walk. She came up to me all mad and made me take them off and took them from me saying we don't do that here, I explained what I was doing, showed her j had my shoes in the buggy and she said there's no trying on shoes in this store...um ok..and then the 2nd time I was walking around the arc after i got off work, ( i work nearby and often i walk there to get picked up) my phone had died and I had been there going on 2 hours waiting for my ride so I asked if I could use their phone, the girl behind counter said sure and was dialing the number when that same lady came up and with an attitude asked her what she was doing and she said she needed to use the phone, the lady said uh uh no we don't do the here, and took the phone from me and hung it up and the said this phone is for business only, I explained I was stuck with no phone, no ride, she said it wasn't her problem and I couldn't use their phone for that.. umm ok, thanks..I don't know what to...
