Been going to Millers, now Blue 32, for years, even when it was off of 29th street at the original location. Last night (4/13/16) my parents and I went in for dinner and drinks around 8pm. Normally the service is great and timely. Last night was a true disappointment. It took 10 mins for us to be greeted at our table. When greeted, we order 2 beers and a house margarita. When the drinks came to our table, the waitress, Tori (name on ticket) asked if we were ready to order our food, but we requested a few more minutes. 20 minutes later, the waitress came back to our table as she was busy with other patrons and playing on her cell phone. There were maybe only 15 other people in the restaurant. When she came back to our table, we requested a new margarita to be made as it was purely made with orange juice and no taste of tequila, all 3 of us tasted it and we're disgusted. She quickly snapped back with an attitude saying, that's how margaritas are made. My father replied with a simple no, that he had never had a margarita with that much orange juice in it. Tori then replied back, well if you have a better recipe for a margarita show it to me otherwise I've been making them this way my entire bartending career. All of our jaws dropped with the rudeness and attitude we received. She then rudely asked if we were "ready or not" to order food. We said no, we will go somewhere else and asked for the check. She ran back behind the bar, grabbed our check and threw it on our table, without saying thank you or apologizing for her behavior. She went back behind the bar, asked the other waitress/bartender (blonde woman) "how the hell are you supposed to make a margarita?" The only kindness Tori did was not charge us for the horribly made margarita. She was again on her phone at the bar as we walked out. I'm hugely disappointed in this service and hesitant to come back again. We truly enjoy this place and the majority of the employees that work there. I hope to never be served...
Read moreMy bf and I eat at this bar every Thursday for supper before I go to work because it's so close to my job.
Why we keep coming back The food is delicious, generous portions, fresh and well seasoned. They are always willing to accommodate my food intolerances and I have never been sick from cross contamination. The service is great at the bar, but if not at the bar and sitting elsewhere service is a lil neglectful. The price, food is really reasonable especially post covid. They have a wide variety of shows to watch on TV, not just sports, they have trivia, game shows, etc
The Drawbacks are The decor, it's very dated...the bar is always sticky, I don't notice a lot of handwashing. There is not good signage outside so if you don't know it is there they aren't drawing new customers. I was told by a local about it. I've seen them overserve customers and let them drive drunk...super unsafe. They draw a huge after work crowd as a result of this. It's really really cold in the winter, the windows have big cracks in them and let a lot of cold air in. A waitress said that it's $800 a window to fix and that's why they don't repair them. Solution: insurance? Chicken wings are really expensive 5 pieces for $11, no side especially considering Wingstop is on the other side of the building and they sell 10 wings with a drink and fries for $12. They don't sell mozzarella sticks, common appetizer. I've even heard customers asking for them but the waitress talks them into the cheese ravolis.

Read moreOverall the experience was mediocre. I would have reviewed it better and actually tipped her well, however the bartender took it upon herself, to tip herself from my debit card, for the mediocre service she performed. I have bartended, served and cooked. I did it for more than 10 year's. It was barely busy in this sports bar on a Saturday afternoon. I've seen busier Monday's in the restaurant industry. While the girl was nice enough, she paid all of her attention to the people she knew and mostly ignored anyone that wasn't a regular. She took large amounts of time in conversation with people she knew as other's had to quite literally grab her attention at all. She's young though. She's figuring out how to do her job in a productive manner. I should hope, but I'm probably making excuses for her. The food was... I've had better at lesser establishments. I'll give it 2 stars. It was edible. But when it came to paying for the food, I was about to do what I do, having been in the industry and knowing they don't get very high hourly rates. I tip 95%. However since she felt entitled to my money and decided her own worth, I let her have the $5 and some change she helped herself to. People need to stop having the audacity to think they are entitled to the publics money. We are customers. We did not sign on to have employees to pay a living wage to. Start going after the employers for a living wage. If they can't afford you, they shouldn't have you. Stop expecting those who also work hard to earn a living to pay your...
