Altar'd State Alderwood Mall — Local services in Lynnwood

I’m already a big fan of Altar’d State being from the midwest but I had to take the time to write about this BEAUTIFUL new location and the amazing experience I had. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door which I know is a small thing but honestly doesn’t happen in most places. I didn’t think all of the clothes were exactly my style but I found a few pieces that I wanted to try and I was literally offered a fitting room right away and A BOTTLE OF WATER. Like that doesn’t even happen at Nordstrom. The fitting rooms were gorgeous. I felt like I was getting dressed in a fairytale and Lindsay (Lindsey?) checked on me multiple times and even brought me some items I hadn’t thought about before but trying them on they fit SO well and I loved being surprised by the unexpected. I was rung up by Wednesday (such an amazing name) who was so sweet and encouraging. She told me about how the company gives part of the profits to non-profit organizations which I didn’t know and it makes me feel so good about shopping there. The team itself takes the check to the local charity ( how amazing) and she genuinely seemed excited about getting to see how her work impacted them. I LOVED IT. Overall the experience was so cool. It way exceeded my expectations and it didn’t feel like a normal shopping experience. I actually felt seen and I can’t wait...

I love this place!! It has become my new favorite store! Cute clothes and accessories shoes and even a bit of decor! And they use a portion of sakes to support a child and their family in South America with education clothes food everything! And once a month they partner with a local charity and all profits are donated to them! So u can feel good about what your money is doing too! They do tend to be a bite pricy but its worth it. They have so much unique finds i cant find anywhere else. And this is going to sound funny but I LOVE THEIR BAGS! not like purse kind of bag i am referring to their shopping bags!! I live them! I have a small collection and when i buy a gift there all i have to do is remove the price tag because its already wrapped with a bit if tissue paper and the bag is so pretty it works as a gift bag! And it starts the conversation about the store and gives me the opportunity to tell another person hiw it has become my go to for gifts. I only wish there was a store like this but for the...

The hours are listed as 10am, I drove from seattle to pick up earrings I already purchased, they weren’t open at 10:10 so I took a walk around the mall to kill time assuming they were running behind and understanding retail. Came back at 10:30 and three people were in the building and refused to let me pick up my items and said that they can’t turn on the register until 11am. I let them know I just needed the earrings I already purchased and she refused.

I’ve worked customer service and in retail for 15 years and I know they can honor the time and help me, there’s no security lock on a register. I have never written a poor review but the amount of rudeness from the girl behind the door and the amount of time and resources I used made me feel obligated to warn others.
