I have worked in customer service/restaurants my entire life, having said that.. I’ve LOVED and adored this goodwill location for years and years. Tonight I had an awful experience due to a couple of the evening employees. I always keep my phone on me if I am shopping close to the time of the store closing, and I always make sure I bring my selections up and am checked out before 9pm, out of courtesy to retail employees. I had only two items and was lowkey harassed multiple times (I was the only customer in the store for some reason) by different employees who immediately had nasty attitudes toward me. It was obvious to me they were trying to get me out of the store, even though I was in there on a slow night, before close. First, the blue-haired loss prevention lady came up to LOUDLY and obnoxiously “let me know” i was the last shopper in the store about 10 minutes before close. She proceeded to walk away as i was trying to respond and say “thanks, but i have the time on my phone and i am about to walk over to check out right now.” Because she was about 30 feet away from me she yelled “what?!?” Then yelled again (halfway across the store) that she was “just trying to be nice because that never happens.”
I am SO confused and a little irritated because of how unprofessional and down right manipulative this worker is being.. I made it about 1 more minute when another girl came over and immediately started being confrontational to me; blocking me from moving by standing between me and the way out of the aisle i was in. Her and blue hair ended up both calling me names on my way out, and i felt absolutely ganged up on. Such a strange experience. I felt as if i was being subtly attacked and they would rather kick me out so they could close early than have my business.
Second girl wouldn't let me around her so i could walk to the register, so by the time i got to the counter and set my things down, it was exactly 8:58 (because they spent almost 5 minutes jabbing at me). Then that same person, Emi/Emily B (who I now see is mentioned in quite a few other one star reviews) was her name; walked over, grabbed my items from me and told the male employee checking me out that she would not allow me to buy them because of MY attitude. I felt completely disrespected and honestly harassed.
My time was completely wasted. She told me they would be here if I come first thing in the morning.. just to jerk me around. Over TWO ITEMS. All of this just to make my shopping experience as bad as possible, inconvenience me, and act nasty. When I said I wanted the manager, to which she replied that she was, they treated me WORSE and told me they would trespass me if i didn’t get out RIGHT NOW. Then the loss prevention blue haired lady acted as if she was on the phone with the police!! Like I was a threat not just a normal person grabbing a couple things.
I work in the service industry and I care so much about my customers and their dining experience. We are ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed to kick anyone out when the clock strikes close (different from retail, I know) but especially not BEFORE close. I do not get to roll my eyes at a customer because they want a drink 30 minutes before close. It seems like nobody wants to work these days and many are too lazy to even do the BARE minimum at their job. They will immediately catch attitude at this store and have absolutely zero customer service skills. I have never ever been so utterly confused and hurt. Especially at a thrift store. I know this review probably won’t matter and nobody will be sat down for their behavior, but at least its out there. I hope the manager reads this and understands how they made a loyal customer for...
Read moreNEGATIVE ONE . Employees treat everybody like their up to something…. It’s not our fault this location is dirty , garbage in the parking lot, crowded, messy , and clearly lots of theft going on! It’s Unfair the way they treat paying customers. I have personally seen employees at this store discriminating ALL types of customers, having a bad attitude, and harassing their customers. I was treated unfair and discriminated on by MASON and store manager lady. I have been a long time customer there spending at least 100 dollars every time I’m there . It’s bEYOND bad management and horrible at finding not lazy unmotivated employees who clearly just wanna go home be quick to judge someone. They didn’t hold the standard of customer service and I don’t think they care to courteous and respectful to their paying customers. It’s BEYOND unprofessional.
Secondly, Almost every boxed lightbulb they were selling wasn’t even the correct product in the box . Someone switched out the actual lightbulbs they claim to be selling for some cheap plain burnt out lightbulb!.Yet the price remained same!
In my Opinion They would rather have someone push out a cart full of stolen merchandise than Actually pay for it because they are lazy and unorganized . They are actively choosing to lose out on honest donations that would help the nonprofit and people who need help in the community they claim to serve, by letting their personal BYASS and discriminatory attitudes get in the way of good people spending money here . They go against everything this company stands for. It’s pretty sad they choose to hire these types of people who have no experience working sales or customer service .
Spend your money at a different thrift store ! Where you are actually welcomed and left to shop in peace and allowed to Donate money to people in my community who need it most....

Unfortunately my experience today was the exact opposite. I found an item that was interesting to me (scanner). It was repacked in it's original box, so I wanted to see the condition before purchasing. I own this exact item and I know there are some common failure points. As I began to inspect the item, an employee asked me not to open boxes. I immediately apologized and put the cord back in and closed the top. They then began to lecture me that I didn't close it properly and that I opened a new item. The packaging (although original) was dogeared and clearly not new. I told them that the item was not new and that I returned it exactly as I found it. As I was walking away, they escalated the situation by following me and demanding that I have a "conversation" with them. I felt extremely uncomfortable and went to collect my wife to leave the store. They followed and continued to admonish me all the way beyond the exit doors.
I can't imagine this person will be at this store very long, but it will be several months before I return to shop. This person proudly wore buttons proclaiming, "Stay Sexy don't get murdered", "SARCASM Just one of my many talents", "Nosy by choice". Who brags about...
