Came in to celebrate my dad's birthday on a Saturday at 1300. Called when they opened, but no one answered and left a message to inquire if a reservation was needed for 7. With no response...we went ahead to see and found the main dining area was closed and the place is really quiet. Only spot open was at the bar. Sad thing is that there was only the bartender to man the place and 2 chefs in the back. Apparently there isnt really much of a staff willing to show up and help handle the crowds that came in waves. We placed our orders and expected to wait for some time considering the staffing situation. Not a problem considering we had a good group to chat with. Food showed up after some time and...well...it was good. Not the greatest, but not the worst. Good thing I like my pizza crispy...but it definitely spent more time in the oven than it should have. Wings have the usual hot sauce like other places. Would be nice to have more options and to crank the heat level up on them. Portion size is worth that though. No one really complained or had much of anything negative to say from the pizza and pastas we ordered. Cool thing is that the people around were good sports and joined in with singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dad. I noticed that a table from earlier sat cluttered for the time from when we arrived to when we left. There was a gal who showed up and started helping the bartender. But I noticed a lady that had been there the whole time and didn't seem concerned and was above helping out any. If that was a manager...then I can see why people wouldn't be willing to show up and do what needs to be done. It almost sounded like an ongoing issue based off other reviews. I remember going here years ago and it's a shame it seems to have lost its fire...

Located off 196th St SW between 40th Ave W and 44th Ave W on the south side of the street. Visited, I mean attempted to visit on 4/9/2023. I was with a group of 15 who were hungry for some pizza, thirsty for some beer, but more importantly, just ready to chill out, relax and hang out! The group of 15 was part of a Southern California youth ice hockey team that was playing in a tournament at the Kraken Community Center. As the group walked in we were immediately told they wouldn't serve us because there only like 4 people working. I get it, people just don't want to work. We weren't in any hurry and would've been willing to wait for our drinks and food as they came out, unfortunately we were never given that option. The host went to speak with the manager who was holding up a wall with two other employees, about accommodating the group. After speaking with the manager, host relayed the bad news that they wouldn't be able to accept our money. We figured if they didn't want our money, we didn't want to beg them to take it! Luckily for us we found another pizza place less than a quarter mile away who was also short staffed but more than willing to accommodate us; Zeeks Pizza. Make sure to read my review on Zeeks Pizza, you'll definitely want to stop in over at Zeeks! In closing, it's unfortunate The Rock Wood Fired Pizza is short staffed, but if you'd explain that to potential customers, they just may cut you some slack and go with the flow. But, I guess that why there were zero customers in the restaurant. Best of luck to the place.

Been coming here for years. Has been pretty consistent. Beers are good, a different decor from the norm, prices have climbed a bit (what hasn't?). This past visit I had an old favorite, the Cajun Bacon Blue burger. Cooked right, fries nice and hot too. Used to have chunkier blue cheese on it in the past, still tasted decent but the 'blue' was lacking (miss the crumbled blue cheese). I ordered it with pizza oven roasted garlic cloves on it (very tasty addition). Brioche bun is smaller than previously, burger patty size is good (unchanged from previous visits). Also ordered the roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and honey/Sriracha sauce. Tasty, a bit sweeter than expected. Wife ordered a half-Mediterranean salad (we shared the sprouts) and was happy with it. We sat in the bar, decent crowd, attentive service, music not obnoxiously loud.

I am sorry to say that this was the worst experience I have ever had here. We were seated with out any idea the full menu was not available. I over heard the waitess tell the guests behind me that some of the menu was not available including what she ordered but did not elaborate, left, came back and told her she was sorry but that was also not available. They ordered something else. We were asked what we wanted to drink about 10 min after being seated. Order was not taken for another 10 min. We ordered garlic cheese bread and 2 personal pizzas. Waited 35 min to ask about the cheese bread and she said she would check on it. A few min later she was walking by the other waitress and discovered she had our cheesebread and was taking it to a different table. Now we have been here an hour and no drink refills or checking in on us. The people next to us got part of there order and behind as well. However the table that ordered just before us was never given her salad even after asking 2x and when they finally after waiting another 5ish min, just said can we get the check the waitress responded with oh it just came up, I can grab that for you now. They declined and paid and left. Now our pizza arrived quickly after our bread which was surprising, however we quickly discovered this was because it was not fully cooked.

We asked for a box and check and paid and left. I did tell the waitress that the pizza was under cooked but at this point we has been in the restaurant for an hour and a half and needed to go.

Good luck finding staff, I think things would improve tremendously. Also inform your guests of things like long food times, reduced menu items and inexperience, your guests should make the choice if they have time for...

Went to the Rock Pizza in Lynnwood on Father's Day with my wife and son. We got seated almost immediately and the restaurant only had maybe 8 tables seated, so not busy at all. We've been eating at the Rock (mainly Bothell) since they opened the restaurants. Gentlemen server came over with our menu's and took our drink orders (1 mr pibb and 1 coke). Brought back our drinks and took our order. ( 1 large pizza and 2 side ceasar salads, one with chicken) When the Salads came out, the one with no chicken had croutons while the one with chicken did not (strange but whatever) The main problem was both salads had way Too Much ceasar dressing. We each had taken may 6 or 7 bites. I ate the chicken that was on mine and we told the server what the problem was and he apologized and took them away. Few minutes later he came back and said the manager took off the one with the chicken because it was the most expensive. I didn't quite hear what he said but my wife heard him. Pizza came and we had ordered it with mushrooms. Needless to say I think we saw 4 or 5 mushrooms. By this time at least half of the occupied tables had left. So now really not busy. Never did our server ask us if we would like refills for our sodas, while he walked past multiple times with our empty drinks sitting on the edge of the table. At $3.50 per soda a refill should not be a problem and a person should not have to ask when the restaurant is nearly empty. When our bill came only one salad had been removed and we were charged $6.50 for the other inedible one. This is and was inexcusable customer service! Especially on Father's Day when the Restaurant is Empty around 5:30pm. I work hard for my money and expect a pleasurable experience at a restaurant with my family...
