Mackinac Bay Build Your Bear — Local services in Mackinaw Township

I work for a small business, so I was really excited to go here and support one rather than a big corporation. I am not one to bash a small business, but this was an awful experience. We were not greeted when walking in. My two year old finally picked an animal, and I started stuffing the bear. Apparently that’s a no no, the lady has to do it. She never helped us but then had an attitude and wanted to explain to me how I threw away her money by starting to stuff the bear. Maybe post a sign or help your customers? I immediately wanted to leave and not spend my money, but I stayed for my daughter. I will never go back, I would’ve rather spent my money at the build a bear...

I’m a 23 year old woman. I walked in there to make myself a bear, and the sweetest lady greeted me and my partner at the door, and treated me as if I were a star struck child in there, she didn’t discriminate because of my age, and she treated so kindly. She assisted me in picking out a bear, she even get me to help with the stuffing process, and showed me all the options for outfits. First of all i would rate this one a 0. My husband and I got a papillon dog and we wanted to see if they had any small dogs stuff animal . When we walked into the store the lady at the counter was knitting and we said excuse me ma’am and she wouldn’t even look at us and didn’t say anything to us and she was still knitting so we left disappointed so the next we thought maybe someone else would be there but the same lady was there and well we thought we have one day here we thought we will try one more time but we did and the same lady. Very disappointed with this store ....
