Read moreI wish I could give zero stars. I was there last night until closing. I lost track of the time and heard the 15 minute warning announcement so I got what I wanted and proceeded to check out. On the way, I heard an employee tell another employee, "why are there seriously still people here, whatever I guess thats why we're open 'til midnight". He obviously did not see me in the next aisle over. When I got to the register my cashier scanned everything, I gave her my coupons, and another man came to help her because she had questions. I had two coupons that expired that day at midnight, and as this particular store closes later than any other, this was a problem. The store had just closed and they would not go through when scanned. The man said he'd override it because it had just passed midnight, and I was obviously shopping while it was still valid. Another woman, whom I believe was a manager came over now, and started watching and asking questions; making sure I was in compliance with their store coupon policy (which I was). They then got to the second Target coupon which expired at midnight, and she started getting an attitude and finally said, well this expired at midnight and you know what, we're not going to accept it. You got in line right before we closed and you've been shopping knowing these expired at midnight so I'm not going to take it. I was apalled at her attitude and lack of willingness to accommodate. I did not walk into that store thinking omg I'm going to shop late on purpose and let this coupon expire just to give them trouble, and technically, had the cashier scanned that coupon first it would have been before midnight and gone through. I wish I had gotten her name, but was shocked and didn't even think about it. She told me,"well, you know, we're here to help..." No, you're not helping, and you just lost your store a $150 purchase. Read moreI need to be honest and I need to finally post this because it’s become such a prevalent issue at this target regarding how uncomfortable I feel going in here.. I’ve lived in Madison heights for almost 3 years now and I live right next to this target location, I used to go pretty frequently but every single time I go in here I get followed around by staff or security.. I’ve never once stolen in my entire life!!! I don’t know if I’m being profiled because I’m obviously a queer person, or if because I’m very clearly middle eastern, but this happens EVERY single time I go in here.. I’m autistic with very bad anxiety and it makes me extremely uncomfortable and anxious, it takes me forever to even feel okay enough to leave my apartment let alone go into a public space and this is how I’m treated? Today I had to get my pick up order (which I’ve been doing BECAUSE of the profiling).. unfortunately I forgot to get water and some other things so I sadly had to go inside, that’s when I noticed I was being followed yet again, and when I was checking out a security guard was standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY LANE and didn’t go away until I was done!!!! Why do you think that I’m a criminal?! What did I ever do to deserve this constant profiling.. is it because I take time reading ingredients because I have a dairy allergy? Is it because I like to take my time to look at my options before I buy something? Or is it simply because I’m not a white, straight, blonde person with a Starbucks cup and Zara clothing on.. I left the store, got in my car and cried.
