Betty Jeffries — Local services in Madison

Cute store. I shopped at this store in the summer and what I assume is the owner was a very nice young man. We went in there this past weekend looking for a dress for my granddaughter for a father-daughter dance. The girl with the dark ponytail was worse than rude. My granddaughter saw a dress she wanted to try on but was not offered a dressing room. We asked about the formal dresses downstairs and she sighed and told me to come back next weekend for appointments. When I pointed out there were people downstairs and asked if they had any appointments open since we were already there with another sigh and head shake we were told to return in an hour. As we were about to leave and return in an hour my 85 year old mom who just had a stroke this week needed the restroom. Ms. Ponytail says “you have to go down the road. We don’t have one.” I said she’s 85. She responded with “we don’t have one!” She stomped off. We went to the next store who allowed my mom to use their restroom and actually bought a dress there. We did return for the appointment so my granddaughter could try on some formal dresses. The young man I had seen in the store in the summer was taking care of the formal dress area. He was very pleasant. After the experience with the girl upstairs however I would not have cared if his dresses were a penny I would not have purchased from there. This store is NOT ADA friendly. My mom was not able to see any of the formal dresses as there are multiple stairs at climb. What a shame when you want to support small businesses and an employee acts like that...

On our recent day trip to Madison my wife and daughter made their way over to Betty Jeffries to check out Summer dresses.
