While in Madison, IN last week, I visited a locally owned chocolatier, Cocoa Safari Chocolates. Their chocolates are every bit as good – or better – than my beloved Ghirardelli. Their dark chocolate is rich and smooth. I bought a bar of it infused with chipotle peppers and it is delicious! It even has a little heat to it, which so often pepper-infused chocolate lacks. The bourbon balls had some heat too, though of a different origin. Wonderful! I gifted my daughter and her hubby dark chocolate covered espresso beans. Read moreBeautiful little store with incredibly delicious handmade chocolates! We were celebrating my husband's birthday, so I went a little overboard. We bought: chocolate covered espresso beans, malted milk balls, a jar of cinnamon honey spread, and a large assortment of truffles and creams. I also choose three cold drinks from their cooler because it was a very warm day. The young woman who waited on me was not very talkative and didn't know how long the business has been there. The glass-front display reminded me of an old time store, as did the atmosphere. I kind of went through the assortment of candies and got a variety.
