While in Madison, IN last week, I visited a locally owned chocolatier, Cocoa Safari Chocolates. Their chocolates are every bit as good – or better – than my beloved Ghirardelli. Their dark chocolate is rich and smooth. I bought a bar of it infused with chipotle peppers and it is delicious! It even has a little heat to it, which so often pepper-infused chocolate lacks. The bourbon balls had some heat too, though of a different origin. Wonderful! I gifted my daughter and her hubby dark chocolate covered espresso beans. The grandson had white chocolate with his favorite…baby sharks! Thanks to Barbara Bladen for her hospitality and recommendations! If you visit Madison, I strongly recommend a visit to Cocoa Safari. I’ll certainly be back!

This was our first time visiting Madison, and we came upon this chocolate shop where we got a couple of truffles. The wife and I continued to shop and explore. She said it was the best chocolate turtle she ever had. So we went back and got some more and got the hot chocolate. We've been in the lodges of Colorado, Oregon, and on top of the Swiss Alps, where we he hot chocolate. This was by far the best. Even though it's almost two hours from home, we will definitely be back.

Close your eyes. The door opens on a smiling face as the chocolate bliss aroma envelopes you. Then your eyes wander over all the milk and dark chocolate choices and lands on this beautiful smore. Handmade marshmallow. Chefs kiss! Make this a stop.

Beautiful little store with incredibly delicious handmade chocolates! We were celebrating my husband's birthday, so I went a little overboard. We bought: chocolate covered espresso beans, malted milk balls, a jar of cinnamon honey spread, and a large assortment of truffles and creams. I also choose three cold drinks from their cooler because it was a very warm day. The young woman who waited on me was not very talkative and didn't know how long the business has been there. She wasn't unkind, just rather quiet and focused on her work. Everything we purchased here was delicious, and we would happily return when we're next...

Wow! They make some delicious chocolates! I went in to waste a little time before a scheduled meeting time and came out with a bag of deliciousness. The glass-front display reminded me of an old time store, as did the atmosphere. I kind of went through the assortment of candies and got a variety. Every single one was a little bomb of chocolate love. Be prepared to leave a few bucks, as the price reflects the time and effort to make everything by hand, but it is truly worth...
