I ordered beef lo mein, seschuan chicken, and crab Rangoons. The Rangoons were good by themselves, but the sauce they provided tasted like Heinz 57 ketchup but watered down. The seschuan chicken was okay, not a ton of flavor but was fine. The beef lo mein on the other hand was not beef lo mein. I got the "beef" lo mein before my family got their food. I immediately noticed it didn't look like beef. "That's weird" I thought, but I tried it anyway. It didn't taste like beef. I waited for them to bring the rest of our food and told them, "hey I think this is pork not beef." The lady then said "no it's beef." "No, it's definitely not beef." I replied. she then argues further, "this is definitely beef!" She runs off in huff to the kitchen. She comes back and places RAW meat in a container on our table along with what appeared to be ground pork. The meat was far too pink to be beef, it easily could have been pork, goat, or lamb. Definitely not beef. "SEE THIS IS THE PORK THIS IS THE BEEF!" She exclaimed reaching into both with a single hand. "Okay, whatever." I reply. Maybe the rest of our food would be good, despite her cross contaminating food right in front of us. My mom ordered peanut butter chicken and fried rice. She liked the peanut butter chicken, but the rice? It was awful. It tasted like melted plastic. My sister ordered the general tso's and fried rice. The general tso's was good, but again the rice was awful.
TL;DR don't eat here. They'll serve you what is presumably pork and tell you it's beef, the rice is inedible and the older lady who was our server was extremely rude and argumentative. I was not compensated for the...
Read moreThis is, by far, one of the better Chinese restaurants I have had since I moved to the KY/IN area.
As soon as you walk inside, you are greeted with about 8 large nice tables, in a clean and welcoming area. You have the option of sitting down and using your phone to order or you can order at the counter for dine in or take out.
Upon placing our order, we sat down and enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and took my special request seriously. When the food arrived, it was brought to out table on nice plates and with a smile. She repeated the orders as they were placed to ensure she got the requests correct. Overall the staff and atmosphere is a 10/10 and I recommend.
Dishes ordered: Crab rangoon(6 pieces) Sweet and sour chicken with white rice Triple delight with no mushrooms, make it spicy with fried rice. 2x bottled soda
The soda is all bottles or cans, both Pepsi and Coke products as well as other misc flavors. The Crab Rangoon was perfectly fried with just the right amount of fillingand served with sweet and sour sauce. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious and golden fried with expertly cooked rice. The triple delight was just that...a delight! Seasoned and cooked beautifully, veggies done but with the right amount of crispness to them. Meats were amazingly tender and in abundance! The sauce shined though, beautifully balanced with a fair amount of heat.
Food 10/10
Overall experience is 10/10 and we will be making the trip back to...
Read moreHere's a suggestion to the lousy cheapskate owners of this restaurant - do a Google search for "give em the pickle" and read the book. It will do you some good. When a customer makes a reasonable request, you provide for them. Food was ok - typical Chinese street food, nothing special, Very overpriced. We didn't realize the sweet and sour pork was nothing but a steaming pile of fried pork with no sides. No rice, no veggies. I've never had sweet and sour pork that didn't include veggies in it's stir fry. Who eats like that? When we asked (nicely at first) for a side of broccoli, I was met with more resistance than the Ukraine army against a Russian assault. I spent $31 to eat here and they can't smile, apologize and hand me a few sprigs of steamed broccoli? No - It's "against their policy." I detest businesses that act as if they're doing YOU a favor when you spend your money with them. This place is one of those places. Understand that you are only staying in business because of the folks who choose to spend their hard-earned money at your establishment. 5 cents worth of veggies is not going to bankrupt you. Rest assured, we will never eat here again and will do everything we can as small business owners to see that others think hard before spending their money here. If I could give you zero...
