Every time I come to this pet store, I get great service. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I've only come in winter, but I don't think anything would change in the summer (and I imagine that the self wash comes in handy). I've come here to get paw wax, a jacket and boots among other things for my dogs who were not built to handle the snow.
When my poor senior dog was freezing her butt off, we took her in to get a jacket and someone helped us try on different ones to see which one fit the best. She doesn't really fit "standard" sizes and the person helping us (I assume the owner?) listened to our concerns and made some suggestions and we ended up finding a jacket that fit perfectly.
We'd previously gone in to find booties for my smaller dog who kept getting icicles clumping in his toes, making it hard for him to walk.
You will pay retail-plus prices for most of the MSRP items, but 1) it's a small town that's hard to get, 2) it's there when you need it and 3) most importantly, you're supporting a small business.
I will definitely be back...
Read moreI absolutely love this store. They have a bakery that makes dog cakes and treats. They also have a groomer. They offer so many mountain dog related items ( backpacking packs, glow in dark collars, harnesses, nylon leashes, dog booties, cbd and hip related supplements for joints, dog beds and clothing for layering in the cold). They offer samples of dog food if you are trying to find the right match for your pet. What sets them apart the most is their customer service. It is so rare in this age to have a small store where the staff knows their stock and can make recommendations, and where they clearly love pets and treat you and your pet like family. Cant recommend this small business enough. They...
Read moreDue to Covid-18 we haven't been able to wash our dog in weeks [ok maybe months]. Our daily hikes [over 8 miles] various ponds, streams and plenty of snow fields had our beautiful doggie [Sky] smelling more like a bear coming out of hibernation, than our best friend.
We went to Tailwaggers in Mammoth Lakes and had the BEST TIME scrubbing off the Sierra Sludge at the self serve bath station. It had all of the shampoo, conditioning and beauty treatment stuff included along with a towel to dry her off. She is now a SUPER CLEAN princess. Will definitely make Tailwaggers a regular stop to keep our Mammoth Mountain Doggie Clean. Thanks...
