*Updating my review because of the managers rude responses on both of my reviews. Which yes I reviewed on multiple sites so people can make an educated decision before giving an establishment money. Rude staff, rude owner. Apparently this place has a 5 sample policy and then they offer a flight. Fine. But I had 2 samples which I didn't even finish because I didn't want a flight I wanted a full sized beer. Again standard at every brewery I've visited and worked. There's a difference between a sample and a pour for a flight. He also edited his response, to an even more snarky response- very flipping unprofessional. So I conveniently pasted it here for your review.

First time here in Mammoth and this was our first stop in town and decided to stop here to try the great beer selection and lunch. Based on the reviews I expected more. I asked to try 2 IPA tastes and my husband 3 because he is a bit more picky- the bartender abruptly and incredibly rudely said "you guys just want to do a flight." Suggesting that apparently trying beer at this particular brewery is frowned upon? Or maybe he was constipated and felt like being unkind- but it was really a rude welcome and we passed on lunch. The NZ IPA was really delicious but we couldn't wait to leave to find food elsewhere. He ain't poo pooing on our wedding anniversary vacation or time in Mammoth. Word of advice, if you love your job and craft beer, educating your customers and letting them find something that suits them is sort of easy to do. (Worked at breweries for years and trying "tastes" is pretty standard so maybe get off that little high horse.) Good beer, poor hospitality for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe normally enjoy our time at Distant, but tonight we got an exceptionally rude bartender who condescendingly could not give us a valid answer as to how long a takeaway pizza order would take. We waited about 45 minutes for our order and then asked for an update and got lectured on how busy they were without her ever checking with the kitchen. She repeatedly told us "we're busy tonight" and made it our problem that we were simply asking for an update. About 10 minutes later, the chef realized we were missing order and found that our pizza had been handed to someone else. The chef and anothee employee apologized and made it right but thag bartender was one of the rudest employees weve ever encountered. We understand that Saturday night is busy, but this bartender has no place in actually dealing with customers.
We would have never gotten our food if we hadn't have asked about it and we're berated for asking.
Giving three stars as we love Distant/the staff, but this server in particular was not the level of service we expected or have experienced from Distant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately disappointing. We had 2 ok meals (chicken BLT with avocado, 2x Greek salad with chicken) and one decent meal (chorizo nachos). The food wasnāt badā¦justā¦meh. The salads were good. The chicken was bland without the taste of basic salt or pepper. I spiced my salad with buffalo sauce and it was spicy at least. I did have 3 pepperoncini stems in my salad that werenāt the most appealing to crunch down on in the middle of a mouth full of food.
The drinks were decent and satisfying. Service was good despite the place being packed. š
It was one of those meals where we werenāt necessarily unhappy to come, but unfortunately considering the quality of food at other places, I donāt believe we will be coming back as we donāt drink beer...
