Yesterday on 10/13/21 I left to go to the gas station and I saw an Aaron’s van pull up to my apartment. I thought nothing of it because my payment wasn’t due for another 2 days on 10/15/21, and I had not received any calls from them, so I drove off and figured they would leave a note in my door or call me if it was something urgent. Came back to see this notice about “theft of leased property” taped to my door. I panicked and called Aaron’s right away and they had no idea that an employee had even been out to my apartment that day! So they just had some random employee going around posting threatening notices on people’s doors who weren’t even overdue on their payments, AND THEY HAD NO IDEA ABOUT IT. Then while I called my best friend to tell her what happened the employee came BACK, DROVE THROUGH MY YARD and damaged the grass by causing ruts. When I talked to then on the phone again the excuse I got was “well she saw that someone earlier had driven through the yard and she was coming back to make sure you got the notice” I don’t care if she “saw someone else go through the yard” SHE DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO DRIVE THROUGH THE YARD AND DAMAGE IT. Also when I pulled the notice off the door a huge chip of paint came with it. So not only did she damage my yard, she also caused damage to my door. My husband called Aaron’s and demanded compensation for the damage, and after emailing them the photos they called me back and said they could not take responsibility for the ruts in my yard that their careless employee caused, and that everything happened because of a “simple miscommunication” and told me that the door would only cost 25 dollars in paint and some elbow grease. I explained to them that we rent this property so all damage must be reported to the landlord and that we will probably be fined for the holes in the yard she caused, and they would charge us to repair the door. Do not do business with them. Thankfully all my payments on my furniture are now done and I’ll never have to deal...
Read moreI called 2 weeks before my auto pay payment and shannon. Said they would stop auto pay. I said thank you. I then got charged through auto pay the following 2 weeks. I called and asked about it shannon said she remembered talking to me about canceling auto pay and said she would refund the money. She then said she would call me back. Never got a call never got the refund. I called in and a guy answer a I told him what happened and he said let me talk to my girl. He then called me and said all of his girls said they dont remember ever talking to me. That they would not refund my money. I then asked to speak to shannon she had a horrible attitude and said she never talked to me. I then said they could pick up my stuff the day I'm paid up to they set a date to pick up never picked it up then shannon calls me and says how would you be paying I said I wouldn't be paying at all she then said very nasty well why not I said I told you guys yo pick your stuff up after you acted like you never talked to me and you guys didn't refund my money. This location is the perfect example of how not to run a business. Gabby and her daughter are rude, unprofessional, and seem completely fine with bending the truth to take money from customers.
Here’s what happened: My account shows a payment made on the 31st and the 17th of last month, over $200 between the two payments—I have the receipts, screenshots from my Aaron’s account, and my bank statements to prove it. Despite this, Gabby insisted—arguing over and over—that my “last payment” was on the 11th. When I calmly asked where she was getting her numbers from, she got defensive, snapped at me, and then hung up the phone.
Within minutes, she sent workers to pick up my couch without resolving anything or even trying to understand the proof I had. The irony? The movers themselves admitted they saw no reason for the pickup after seeing my documentation and told me privately they didn’t understand what Gabby’s problem was.
This wasn’t a misunderstanding—this was a blatant refusal to acknowledge evidence, which left me out money, time, and furniture. It’s behavior like this that makes people lose all trust in a business.
If you value honesty, respect, or basic professionalism—stay far away from here. There are plenty of other places willing to treat customers like human beings, not bank accounts to exploit.
The only positive part of this whole mess? The movers. They were respectful, professional, and far more competent than the people running the store. Honestly, they deserve jobs at a real company that respects both employees and customers.
