I ordered a sectional sofa, imagining family gatherings, movie nights, and maybe even a little holiday cheer. Two weeks later, the delivery truck rolled up, and I thought, This is it! But instead of the sectional I ordered, they brought me the wrong piece. Okay, mistakes happen. I get it. We’re all human. But the salesman who placed the order? Let’s just say “attention to detail” wasn’t his strong suit. So, I reordered and waited another week. This time, the sofa showed up—but it was missing its legs. And here’s the kicker—they actually asked if I’d take it without the legs. I mean, come on! A sofa with no legs? That’s not a sofa—it’s just a cushion in distress. Naturally, I said no. They apologized, and promised to deliver the right sofa the following week. Then—wait for it—they called the day before delivery to say it would be delayed another week. By this point, I felt like a character in Cast Away, stranded on an island with no seating and no hope of rescue. Christmas Eve came and went without my sectional. So did New Year’s Eve. My family had to huddle together on mismatched chairs while the living room stood half-empty, a sad reminder of what could have been. Now, here I am, over a month later, still without the furniture I paid for. And honestly? I wouldn’t recommend Bob’s Furniture to anyone unless you’re looking for a lesson in patience or maybe an excuse to practice yoga—because you’ll be spending a lot of time sitting on the floor. Initially I was looking for chairs for my dining set but then I came across this beautiful Mango white dining set! I was greeted by every one I passed and they gave me the space needed to think and shop. Once the time came for my decision they were all ready to spring into action. Randy here at the Manchester CT location made every bit of my time easy. He took the time to listen to my preferences while demonstrating an impressive knowledge of every piece of furniture. Also with a little reassurance from Todd I truly felt like I was in the hands of someone who was genuinely invested in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. Not only did i purchase the dining set but I also added protection.
If you thought that's where the review ends. Your wrong! the next few days I returned to purchase a Living room set. Again I was fortunate enough to find Randy and we made magic happen yet again after buying a gorgeous Verona Taupe set! I was fortunate to meet the store manager Terrance who took time to introduce himself, thank me for my reoccurring business! The thing that stood out was feeling like I was the most important person in the room. The staff made me feel valued and took extra care to ensure I was comfortable and well-informed throughout the entire process. Read moreI called customer service to order a mattress to replace one that was warrantied and went bad, and they said I need to go into store to buy it. So I went to Manchester CT store and spoke to John who said the mattress I wanted wasn't available anywhere and then he tried to upsell me into a more expensive piece, (knowing obviously I wasn't going to go down in quality) along with another salesman coming over and insisting "I DEFINITELY NEED" a cover because these beds are sponges! What a way to describe your product! Since they couldn't get the mattress that I wanted on website I said I'd wait and see if it comes available and I left. I went home to call customer service again to see if and when I could get the mattress that John said wasn't anywhere to be found. What do ya know? It WAS in stock, I bought it online an hour later after leaving Manchester store, and it was delivered yesterday. Let me add that the only reason I went back to bobs for their mattress is because I had a credit from the warranty. I'm guessing because I would have had to only pay $30 for extra cost of tax and new mattress being a few more dollars then credited, they tried to upsell me on more expensive piece.
