Ethan Allen — Local services in Manchester

I've had the pleasure and good fortune of working with Sue Jucker at the Manchester Ethan Allen store for several years.  When we first met  I immediately connected with Sue's sense of personal style and felt very confident that she was the design consultant that would help me create a living space I'd love. My first project with Sue began in 2012, the goal being to create a new family room.  Sue came to my home to see the space she'd be designing and get an idea of what type of style I was looking for. Within a few days my husband and I met her at the store to see the furniture pieces, fabrics, rug and accessories she had chosen for our review.   We absolutely loved all the choices she offered us and with her guidance narrowed down the fabric choices, wood finishes, cushion content, etc.  She also recommended window treatments and paint color for the walls. We felt no pressure whatsoever to purchase anything but of course we did and are still very happy with everything we ordered. Fast forward 6 years and we were moving out of state to build our retirement home in a warmer climate.  I once again called upon Sue to help me choose furniture, rugs and accessories for my new dining room, kitchen and my very own "she cave" using  our house plans as a guide.  I planned to keep the same family room furniture I had purchased 6 years earlier as it was still in perfect condition and in style, just adding a pair of new chairs and ottomans. Once again Sue understood the look I was trying to create and came through with fabulous suggestions. I fell in love with Sue's vision for our new home and am thrilled with the outcome. My husband and I are very happy with our entire experience with Ethan Allen and specifically Sue Jucker.  She is a consummate professional,  gifted designer and lovely woman....

I’ve been an Ethan Allen customer since 2000 when we purchased a new home. We’ve moved twice since then and needed additional furniture. I’ve worked with 3 different designers and all of them were excellent, The quality of the furniture is uniformly excellent as well. The one time I had a problem with a fabric, well past the normal warranty period, they sent someone out who determined it was a manufacturing error and fixed it for free. My latest experience is with Aileen Kennedy at the Manchester store. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and she helped me work through not only a great floor plan that helps us use our open plan first floor more efficiently as our needs have changed, but helped me determine which pieces I needed to reupholster and which I needed to add. What really impressed me was that she told me I could also arrange to have some pieces reupholstered through Ethan Allen so that they worked with what I was buying and I could be sure the fabrics worked with what I was keeping and buying new. She visited my home twice and spent time with me at the store and I never felt rushed or pressured and her ideas were really helpful. This is the kind of great service that really stands out. But I also found that I could save money going through Ethan Allen to do the reupholstering. The quote I had previously received from someone else for labor alone was almost as much as what it will cost to reupholster my dining room chairs and I had the added benefit of being able to pick a fabric in my home to be sure the colors would blend with what I have. So 22 years after I first purchased from them they are still providing a very high level of service and a wonderful product— if only that could be said about so many...

I was greeted by Aileen Kennedy upon entering the Manchester store. I explained I was looking for the Arcata sofa and a wing chair. Aileen took me around the store and I tried more than a dozen wing chairs and eventually decided upon the Isaac. She explained options for each chair and even had the wing chair moved next to the Arcata sofa so I could see how they looked together. There was a sofa available with the three cushion types Ethan Allen offers so I was able to try each one before selecting the one I prefered. Aileen was lovely and a delight to work with. Not intimidating, no pressure but confident and experienced. Aileen helped me select fabrics in the gray and teal family and brought samples to my home twice so I could see them in the light and space where they would be used and to see how they coordinated with existing upholstered pieces that would be remaining. I was very comfortable working with Aileen and would not hesitate to call her in the future or recommend...
