Finally made it to this gem! Tucked away at the end of Canon Ave in Manitou Springs lies the entrance(also Cave Of The Winds old entrance) to this magnificent hike. Make arrangements with cave of the winds or Manitou cliff dwelling staff to sign waiver for permission to enter(privately owned) the beauty is unreal, as you enter the canyon the trickle of water and the soft brush of a cool breeze playfully dancing around you as if sent by the canyon walls themselves. You then notice that the only sound you hear is your heart beat drumming in exhilarated rhythm with a soft melodic trickle of the stream carefully rolling over the pebbles and stones. You smile and gaze in awe at the amazing landscape mother nature has laid out in front of you and press on deeper into Williams Canyon. Please respect this amazing place and enjoy! Read moreThis is one of Manitou’s best little hidden away hiking trails. I’ve been up Williams Canyon during the summer with my campers and during the winter with a friend.
10/10 would recommend, you can see visitors at Cave of the Winds up above the trail and it’s not too crowded but you’ll still pass other hikers. Bring shoes that you don’t mind getting wet because you’ll cross zigzagging over the creek several times along the way.
